Wow, the snorkeling is amazing at Paradise Cove. The Yasawa islands in FIJI are for anyone who loves snorkeling and beach holidays. Despite not seeing any Manta Ray’s (which was our primary motivation for visiting paradise cover) my husband and I had terrific time at Paradise Cove and plan to return.
Snorkeling
Paradise Cove has a very healthy house reef. It was amazing to swim each day straight from the beach. You can swim on any tide; you just need to be careful on low tide & go in from an area beside the reef to get out into deeper water then swim across the reef.
In addition, there are daily snorkeling trips on a boat to various other reefs to explore. The resort will vary the reefs daily.
The snorkeling was truly magic.
Accommodation
We loved our Paradise Bure, it was roomy and ideal for a beach holiday. I would highly recommend staying in these Bures.
Service
Our appreciation goes to Josh (dinner service) Leisa (housekeeping) who were genuine and exceptional in their service delivery. Sadly, we also had some average service, were we felt like an inconvenience.
Activities
Besides the snorkeling, we enjoyed walking daily to the lookout. The gym is surprisingly good for an island resort. There is Yoga daily and other activities on offer.
The spa offers a range of services which we enjoyed twice throughout our stay.
Food
The food wasn’t for us. They have a 6-course compulsory menu. That said, they changed a few things to make it work for us which we appreciated.
We had a private BBQ one night, which we wished we did more as it was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was better than we could have imagined with a personal waiter & chef who serviced and cooked outside our Bure. This was very special!
We would definitely recommend Paradise Cove. The snorkeling, bures and activities make this place well worth visiting. It is a truly amazing resort. Yes, there were a few thinks that could have been improved for us, but they weren’t big in the overall scheme of the holiday. Finally, we would highly advocate getting to Paradise Cove by Island Hoppers. The helicopter is a fast way to getting to Paradise Cove while flying over the crystal blue water with reefs scattered all the way out to the resort.
