The best holiday ever

We travelled as a family with our 9 year old daughter. Paradise Cove exceeded all our expectations. The beauty of the island is just exceptional. The food at the Omakase restaurant was just stunning, carefully prepared with amazing ingredients and included in the rate. Were able to see the chefs preparing and met other guests while we ate courses of amazing food. The Blackrock restaurant was amazing too, multiple courses at dinner and all served so well. The restaurant was very accommodating with kids food which is fresh and served early.

The snorkelling is exceptional. My husband dived and commented that the snorkelling was as good as the diving. The reef at the resort was beautiful, coral was in excellent condition, many reef fish, clams and even a small reef white tip. There are multiple snorkel sites 10 min boat ride away which were also exceptional. We stayed in the Beach front bure (room 42) which was just divine. Bed was turned down every night and so comfortable. All the staff were amazing, so kind and made us feel at home. We will be back for sure.

If you are looking for that local Fijian experience. Wayalailai is the place! Beautiful island, beautiful people and amazing local Fijian food. 🫶 Out of all the islands I visited it also had the BEST hike where you can see sunrise & sunset. Great for solo travellers and also perfect for family’s. There is limited phone reception giving you that perfect escape to enjoy the island vibes. You can dive, snorkel, learn weaving, local village tour & more. Highly recommend!!

Upon arrival we had a lovely greeting by staff and then we were offered a cold drink which was nice after travelling from Port Denarau for 3 hours.  We checked into our garden room which we found spacious, clean and comfortable but lacked hanging space for clothes for two people and no decent lounge area, only one chair. The slate floor in parts were a bit uneven so at times we could trip over. Our room was located right next to the construction site so after a few days staff approached us and offered to move us to another room.  The only time it was a bit of an issue is when we wanted to have a rest in the room during the day. The second room to the Cove area was a lovely upgrade so this was very much appreciated. Vinaka.

All the meals here at Paradise Cove were excellent and we were so impressed with all the food. The compulsory meal plan is't cheap but the quality was great and the wide range of choices made it enjoyable, you certainly do not go hungry here.  Breakfast at the main restaurant Black Rock would be a hot dish of choice and then a selection of continental buffet breakfast all very good.  Lunch at the Black Rock restaurant had a good choice of meals but our favourite was the Spanish style tapas which were fantastic as you could choose three dishes each so we could share a variety of dishes with my partner which we really enjoyed. The Japanese Omakase restaurant for dinner was great and we enjoyed watching the amazing chefs create every dish into a work of art. My partner enjoyed the Japanese food more than I did simply because it was a new cuisine to me and just not used to a lot of raw food.  A big thank you to the head chef Tui and all his crew for creating so many delicious meals, you are all very talented chefs.   Also thank you to the staff for singing happy birthday and the birthday dessert plate for my partner, it was a lovely celebration.

The resort here is lovely, beautiful crystal clear water and great snorkelling just off the beach which was so enjoyable.  It was nice to be able to fill up our water bottles at the bar with icy cold water for free that was available most of the time.  The three pools were great, the main pool located near the main bar and restaurant had more shade as the two in the Cove area didn't have much shade and hardly used by guests, perhaps because the water was quite warm.  We thought the Cove area was adult only but this wasn't the case when it came to the pool areas.

The staff here are friendly but some were not as engaging as others. A special thanks to Sova the lovely dive master who took my husband out on some wonderful dives, he enjoyed them all.  Also thank you to the lovely staff, Knox, Moses, Kara, Eta, Joe, Joe, Samu, Milly, Silo and all the staff sorry we can't remember all the names.

We have been to Fiji 8 times now and this was our first trip to the beautiful Yasawa Islands.  We both agree this resort has been the best we have stayed at and certainly one we won't forget. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the beach house (#1) which is the only way to go. This villa located on the end has the most privacy and great sunset views from the deck. Private beach with fantastic snorkeling right outside your door. In addition to thousands of tropical fish and colorful coral, we saw a shark and sea snake. Breakfast made to order in your villa everyday. Preferred the omakase restaurant.

Room tip: Pool crowded and beach seating limited. Garden villas may be located close to generators and with many mosquitos

Absolutely outstanding facility, service, and food. It’s not cheap but there’s never a moment you don’t feel like what you spent wasn’t worth every penny. Great cocktails, outstanding staff and truly incredible food for every meal that’s the best my wife and I have had since we’ve come to Fiji (this is our 3rd visit).

The facility is very family friendly with lots of stuff for kids to do. There are times it feels like they can take over the place but traveling as a couple it never felt overly inconvenient.

There are 3 pools, 2 of which are mostly for adults and usually very quiet and incredibly warm. The activities are all unique and interesting and the reefs they take people to snorkel are all absolutely outstanding. The reefs in the Yasawas will make you feel hopeful the world’s reefs can recover. There’s virtually no bleaching and colors like you cannot believe.

Of all the highlights of this wonderful resort, it’s the food that will blow you away. Breakfast is a wonderful menu that can accommodate many food allergies and the staff is surprisingly knowledgeable about these allergies which is very rare for Fiji. My wife even had gluten free Eggs Benedict. We couldn’t find that in the U.S no matter how hard we tried. Lunches are standard but very nice menu, and dinner is where things jump to another level. The regular dinner is a 6 course menu that changes every 2 days and then the Omakase dinner in the Japanese restaurant that just opened a few months ago is absolutely insane. Every person we saw dining there had smiles on their faces from start to finish and the staff loves to chat with about the food, also a rarity n Fiji.

Ultimately, I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. There’s plenty to keep you busy or if you wanna do nothing then they’ll take care of that too. It’s utter bliss that you will never forget.

Room tip: All the rooms are great. If you wanna spend the money, there are some very private rooms but even the upgraded basic room is great!

We absolutely loved this place - the 2 bedroom beachfront villa was unbeatable! So nicely appointed, and the perfect mix between western luxury and local touches. Beautiful beach/island and good snorkelling straight out the front.
Kids enjoyed the kids club and met lots of little friends.
I loved the size of the resort - not too big but just big enough to be interesting but still intimate.
As others have said - the food is excellent! And so spoilt to have the option of the Japanese and Black Rock to choose from each day. We are already trying to plan our next trip back.

The resort was beautiful, very clean and welcoming. It offers the perfect balance of a beachy / relaxed holiday, with endless options of activities - so offers a great mix for people. We came as a couple, there were many families at the resort but there was so much for the children to do, it was still very peaceful and relaxed. You can walk meters from the resort into the sea, where you can just pick up snorkel gear and go to explore the reef. We were surprised about how lively the reef was. The food was impressive and varied throughout. We took a private picnic boat trip which took us to a empty beach an island over. It was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. We went on a day trip to the local village to watch the rugby 7s tournament, which was so fun! The drinks were no where near as expensive as expected. Our bill was much cheaper than we planned and we truly got whatever we wanted! Would recommend this place to everyone. Truly suitable for all ages.

Room tip: If you are planning to arrive by boat, there is 1 ferry that leaves from Nadi in the morning, around 8.45am. Otherwise you travel via plane
