The apartment was beautiful and creative. I was there with a friend for a full weekend to attend a wedding. Waking up in the main bedroom, you are surrounded by stained-glass murals of books on shelves as the morning sun filters through the large windows on Front Street. I was almost late for the wedding because I just wanted to stay there.
The place is just above an amazing used bookstore. During business hours you can wander down and browse the shelves. They have coffee! The steps up to the rental are painted to look like the spines of books by local authors stacked on top of each other. It is surreal and amazing.
The front door offers access directly to Front Street, Wilmington's cultural center, and the beautiful staircase takes you away from the hubbub. I will definitely be back.
