Every year we attend Holston Annual Conference at Lake Junaluska and last year 2014 we found this house for attendees from our Church to rent. We love this house! Everything is neat and clean the view is spectacular. We would really rather hang out on the porch and enjoy the view but we do attend the Conference and always look forward to getting back to the house in the evenings. Waynesville and Maggie Valley are only minutes away. The only down side is getting up the side of that mountain which can be a bit intimidating if you aren't comfortable on steep and narrow roads other than that - FANTASTIC.

Be prepared for a LONG STEEP drive up the mountain. A sturdy vehicle would help. It is a great place to hibernate for a few days with a good stash of food, drinks and supplies so you don't have to travel much. Bring paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen detergents, soaps and shampoos. Screened in porch is awesome, setting is beautiful and accommodations for a crowd are great.

Our family and friends hope to do so again in the near future!
The owner was pleasant to work with concerning Shiloh House.
He had made provisions for our group to travel up the mountain where Shiloh was located in the event weather became so inclement that our vehicles were unable to make the steep drive.
The house and view were even better in person than in the pictures.
The kitchen was well-stocked with:
12 piece setting
serving platters, bowls, etc,,,
baking dishes
coffee makers (2)
kitchen linens
bed linens
bathroom towels, etc...
cleaning supplies
laundry detergent
shampoos, etc...
Although there were 10 in our group that stayed at Shiloh, we had 14 that were present on Thanksgiving Day and Shiloh was equipped to handle all of us with enough tables and chairs with extra in storage.
The house was very clean.
The house was decorated for the holidays.
Although the drive up the mountain was steep, it was completely manageable.
Plenty of Parking for numerous vehicles.
Two-car garage
Well-lit at night.
Split-level with:
2 en-suite master bedrooms
1/2 bath
Large open family/great room w/gas fireplace and eating area
Family/Great room has very large sliding glass doors that open onto a large deck with plenty of outdoor seating overlooking a spectacular view.
Kitchen with plenty of storage and well-stocked also with a view.
Downstairs on one side of the garage:
2 bedrooms
1 full bathroom
Large laundry room
Storage room
Downstairs on the other side of the garage:
Large Den
Full bathroom

Hot Tub

Lower porch with outdoor seating.

Elder accessible if they can climb a few short stairs

Would advise bringing own trash bags, dish towels, dish soap, etc...just to be sure of not running out when needed.

Plenty of places to buy groceries, etc.
Plenty of available activities in the area.

We had problems with the lock box upon arrival and departure but someone came within a reasonable amount of time to let us in the house. A previous renter had apparently changed the combination.
