Windjana Gorge, one of the 2 major attractions on the tour.
Indigenous tour guide Dillon shared stories from his culture and showed me another side to the experience. The gorge was so picturesque with colours of the Kimberley.
Calm water of the gorge with fresh water crocodiles checked out the relaxing birdlife . At the same time they keept an eye on the human visitors, sometimes very close and personal. On one occasion the lack of scales on the back of one crocodile was so visible! Young tour guide Ky helped out and kept those engrosed in the sights, up to scratch.
Tunnel Creek is one of the most dramatic, sometimes soothing, unpredictable and beautiful places. Walking through the water, sometimes with the help of others, added to the overall experience. The views varied from rock art, fossils, crocodile eyes checking you out, a dark tunnel, varying in height and texture to water flowing along beside you.
But I mustn't forget the entry. Now that's somethingto look forward to!
Alex our driver, chef and tour guide ensured all were well fed and watered. His commentary was informative, but in a casual manner. His outgoing personality ensured everyone felt included in all activities. The drive in and out of the area, with an occasional stop, was most enjoyable gave me another view of this amazing land.
I'm hooked on the region!
Thanks to all.

I totally agree with Linda B. We took the tour from Fitzroy crossing and were overwhelmed all day with the quality of this tour. Alex, our driver/guide was so interesting with his information about history, plants, local culture, being involved in the education of their young ones. Then we met the tradtional Elder of the Bunuba people, Dylan, who welcomed us to country with a smoking ceremony. He then took us on a journey through the story about Jandamarra, a Bunuba man. The Gorge and Tunnel Creek were popular with visitors but we had Dylan to tell us so much about these areas and point out rock art, fossils and where his people went and what they did. I recommend this tour as a must do.

I would highly recommend this tour. Everyone had a fabulous day. The guide was very passionate telling us about his culture and about the surrounding areas we visited. Great morningtea, lunch and afternoon tea provided. Transport was very comfortable coach seating. It was worth every cent going with this tour because the guide knew where all the aboriginal rock art was and if you didnt go with this tour you would of never known where to find it. Well done Windjana Tours.

Thank Linda B

We were collected by an amazing guide/ driver who knew all about local history and geography- Alex pointed out local land features and identified plant and animal life. We were greeted by Dillion an elder of the local tribe who guided us through the magnificent gorge telling us the history of the area as well. He told us a story of a local tribesman who befriended a white grazer and continued the story to the Homestead ruins and then onto the magnificent Tunnel Creek where the story ended. Dillion had 3 of his grandsons as side kicks who entertained and guided us on the creek walk. They were courteous and very helpful. It was so great to see the positive approach to sharing their wonderful land.

After booking and paying for with you from Ian at Derby caravan park last Thursday for Sunday tour on the 10th where we waited for an hour to be picked up. Alas did not happen we stayed in derby for an extra 3 days to do this tour as it was a Sunday , we have left numerous phone messages and are still waiting for a reply, ? Ian refunded our money and we left for Broome. We have planned this trip for two years and are extremely disappointed with your unprofessional service!
We also heard Ian confirm the booking with you, not happy!
