The Pig is known in Chapel Hill as one of the better BBQ places (top 10). The line gets kind of long during the rush and their system leaves a little to be desired on the customer service side. There is only one person taking orders and every one else is in the back making the food. This would be fine except the cashier is also the food runner for the entire restaurant.
The pork is good and tender with lots of flavor. Very little fat, if any. The brisket isn't as good, but still very tasty. The hushpuppies are on target. The sides are all on target, especially the fried green tomatoes and mac n cheese.
