Lots on the Cook landings and local history, should take half a day to enjoy the entire museum. Well done

Very impressed with this, we should thank the local organisations and of course historians who have seem, essay brought the early days of shipwreck and Captain Cook into realism.
Not only that the realism they have brought into the situation on,y adds to the general acceptance of the situation at these particular times.

Great little local museum. They had information on the past gum tree harvesting, Captain Cook, and many photos of Whitianga's past.

This museum is bigger than it looks, really well curated & has lots of great visual, interactive & informative displays. It gave us a really good understanding of the history of the area. Inexpensive entry at $7/adult it is well worth a visit.
