A beautiful place to stay. Lovely suite with view on the ocean. David is an excellent host who makes you feel at home. Makes a delicious breakfast en even drives you to a restaurant if you like. Knows all the nice places to go in the surrounding.

We spent three wonderful days at Bayview Valley Lodge in March 2024.
David is a host with heart and soul. You can see and feel this when you enjoy the generous, delicious and freshly prepared breakfast at the table laid with great attention to detail. The spacious room with sofa, the bathroom with high-quality toiletries and the wonderful view of Mercury Bay leaves nothing to be desired.
Thanks to David's recommendations and detailed tips on excursions, we were able to fully enjoy the beauty of the beaches and nature in the surrounding area.
The absolute highlight, however, was when David invited us to dinner with friends of his and cooked a specialty from Calabria. We will remember this evening for a long time to come. Many thanks David!

We stayed at Bayview Valley Lodge while visiting the area. We enjoyed every aspect of the stay. The location is good and views from the rooms and terrace are outstanding. The suites are clean, roomy and have everything you need. They are private and very quiet. Breakfast was outstanding, a good selection to eat and drink including bread baked that morning and eggs fresh from the nearby chickens. The best part was the hospitality of our host, David who welcomed us on arrival and during our stay ensured we had everything we needed. He suggested great restaurants and made us reservations. He gave excellent advice on what to see in the area. This stay had been the highlight of our tour of New Zealand.

An absolutely fabulous stay at Bayview Valley Lodge in Whitianga NZ. David, the owner, is not only a perfect host, he is also a fabulous chef. Our breakfasts were terrific! Our suite was spacious and lovely with an en-suite bath and a fabulous view of the bay. Honestly, you could stare out at the view of the bay all day and be totally happy. It is that special. We highly recommend a stay if you are in the area.
