We stayed in the Parsonage Barn for two weeks having never been to the Scillys before. What a treat. We were met by our lovely host, Julian, at the quay with his buggy to collect our luggage to take to the Barn. We then met his lovely wife, Pam. They were really wonderful hosts who couldn't have been more helpful and kind. We settled into a very nicely decorated and comfortable, self catering barn. It had a beautiful view from the lounge window across to St Mary's. Although the barn is a bit dark because the windows are small, the well thought out decor made up for it. Anything we needed was brought immediately and we were made to feel so welcome. We were also invited to wine and nibbles in the Parsonage by our hosts which we enjoyed very much. They are really lovely people. We had free run of their wonderful garden and of course we were blessed with fantastic weather which made it all the more enjoyable.
We both have loved being on St Agnes. It is a very pretty island with so much to see and do if you like the outdoors. The restaurants (two of them) were excellent, providing very good food and a friendly atmosphere. The cafes were lovely with wonderful cream teas and the Bulb shop offered lots of great gifts. The village shop was also very well equipped and you could get anything you needed. We visited all the other islands but thought that none was as beautiful as St Agnes.
We would definitely come again and would want to stay in the Glebe Barn as it was really comfortable and well equipped, just like my kitchen at home.
Thank you Julian and Pam for such a wonderful holiday.
