Stayed at Da Gelsomina for an overnight stay in May. What an experience! Rarely do you find a combination of complete serenity, cleanliness, understated professionalism and a restaurant to die for attached aswell. Da Gelsomina has all of these in spades and possibly the most stunning views on the island. It's a bit off the beaten track but they offer free transfer via little minibuses from Anacapri. It's a 3rd generation family run hotel and restaurant set in its own small holding and vineyard. Most of what you eat and drink is grown/made on site..and it all tastes first class Pasquale is a host with great attitude, knowledge and an 'unpushiness' that is a breath of fresh air. Our room was ready well before the prescribed arrival time and was spotless, well appointed with a sea view that was hard to beat. Lunch...fantastic light homemade pasta, dinner...gorgeous seafood risotto...another great lunch the following day. A final walk (100m) to the best kept secret view...Punta Carena from the cliff tops, then away via another free minibus ride down the hill. Truly a couples paradise and wonderful memories. PS. A special mention to Luciano who whilst providing fabulous waiting skills and attitude, also provided great Italian lessons. We shall return!

Getting there was a little problematic - narrow roads and hotel pick-up needed but once there a great 'get away from it al' location - lovely food, charming staff and a fantastic view. Simple and special and compared to the other hotels around we visited with others - a bargain!

Room tip: all rooms have brilliant view

Absolutely worth the trip up to Anacapri to dine at this restaurant! A fun, and friendly courtesy car is available to take you to the very top of - where the restaurant is located. You are greeted by family owners (also the courtesy car driver and waiter) and magnificent views over the Bay of Naples. We literally dined overlooking a vineyard and garden with the gorgeous water behind it. Food is fresh and seasonal and grown on site. They produce their own wine, which is AMAZING, and really once in a lifetime experience because they do not bottle/sell it anywhere in the world. Really a wonderful and memorable dining experience!

Room tip: Best Views, Great Food

We stayed one night here and also ate at the restaurant. We were collected from Anacapri as part of the hotel service, which was great. It would have been a long walk...

Our room had everything we needed and had a stunning view over the water to Ischia and Naples.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Vincenzo, who gave us great advice on what to see and do in our limited time on the island.

The only minor issue was wifi signal being marginal in the room, due apparently to the pool above blocking the signal.

Overall a great experience and would definitely return. 5/5

A very cozy place with elegant rooms and spacious private terraces. The Hotel is located on a hill in a very remote part of the island and trust me you won't feel like leaving the place. However there is free shuttle to and from Grand Port all day. The restaurant of the property serves most delicious food i tried on the island for a very reasonable price. Anacapri is in 20 minutes walking distance (or 5 minutes drive by free hotel shuttle), which is a very nice little town with Villa Michelle for touristic activity and great shopping.

Room tip: all rooms are equally stunning and have large private terrace
