“Great visit”

Chateau Franc Mayne
Attraction details
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Visited as part of a tour group on a river cruise. An amazing underground storage area here, they only produce a small amount of wine in comparison to the major producers, so the barrels looked a bit lost !!
We walked around and were told about the vines, the production process, then we tried 3 of the wines in the tasting room.

A great tour with owners that are passionate about their wines.

Recently visited as part of a hen do group. Our guide Veronique Guilliot was so great! She presented clearly and with such a friendly, happy manner - we enjoyed it twice as much because of her :)

The tour was interesting and the underground cave was fascinating!
I would definitely recommend this for a group of friends or family of any suitable age.
Thank you for a lovely time

Very close to the downtown Village of Saint-Emilion. A classified winery with the excellent wines and unbelievable experience underground and touring the caves that were once dug for the limestones that built Saint-Emilion.

Beautiful family vineyard which is 90% Merlot. The tour leader was very knowledgeable and the best part was the huge old quarry they use for storing the barrels. Beautiful wine and a vineyard I would recommend.

This winery has 7 hectares of property. It grows mainly merlot. The wine cellar was a cave excavated from limestone. Too bad we were not shown the production plant and process. They just showed us the cellar and then sell us the wine.
Only limited selection of wine available.
This winery has a small hotel but we did not stay there.
