I found this place because it is near where I am currently working. The food is excellent and so is the service. The sandwiches for lunch are huge, and the potato salad is wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you want a nice clean place that has the ambiance of a higher class diner, then try this place.

On Friday, October 3, 2014, I used Lorenzo's Cafe, in Schenectady, NY, to Cater to my family & friends for a Late Lunch Reception, to host feeding everyone for a Funeral we attended on that day. The restaurant is a Diner that mostly was known for serving Breakfast, but Lorenzo's has recently began to serve not just Breakfast but also Dinner. Although we were there for a late lunch (around 3:00 pm) we used their Catering Dinner Menu, which was very extensive and reasonably priced. The food was 100% delicious and well set up for us and plentiful.

This is not a fancy place, it is mostly set up with Booths, and hosting a big event seems like it wouldn't be capable, but it certainly was for us, they gave us the back part of the Restaurant for our special buffet Dinner event, and everyone was comfortable and happy. The Restaurant is not fancy but it is clean. Don't let the outside of this place fool you, nor the fact that they don't have a fancy place inside, but the food is outstandingly delicious, and everyone in my Party raved over the great taste of the food. Our Dinner Buffet consisted of Trays of Roasted Chicken, Roasted Potatoes, Sausage & Peppers in Sauce, Ziti Noodles & Sauce, Dinner Rolls, and Tossed Green Salad. Although they don't yet have a dessert menu in place, they asked us what we wanted and provided it for us. We asked for Cupcakes. I have been to many very nice looking restaurants on the outside and inside, and have found some to be disappointing in the taste of the food, and so going to Lorenzo's Cafe was a giant surprise to find this "gem" of a Restaurant, to get such Yummy food and pay a great price for it, in a clean environment, with friendly service.

Of course, this Restaurant is just starting out to serve Dinner, and is only open up until 7:00pm, and they will need to continue to improve on the customer service, the only thing we noticed that with our Buffet event, no one came to take away our dirty dishes, and we did have to wait a bit for them to set everything up, but other than that they really worked hard to try to please everyone of us at the Restaurant, and they were friendly. This is a new service they are trying out and so I hope that they will continue to improve these small touches. Regardless, I gave them a 5 Star, because the food was just that delicious, the best ever. See them also on Facebook.

If you are in the area of Lorenzo's Cafe, in Schenectady, NY, and are looking for some good food, with a great price, and you don't need the place to be fancy, you'll be very happy to eat at this place indeed, and I certainly would eat there again if in the area. Thumbs up for this little Cafe Restaurant.
