What a find! I haven’t had a falafel as tasty and satisfying as this since I was in Israel. And as a solo diner, I felt completely comfortable eating alone.

Visited Rhinebeck during Sinterklass and I wanted something filling but not heavy and Aba's was the perfect find. They were only offering one option due to the large crowds that day but it was exactly what I was looking for.

Superb falafel, made fresh with top quality ingredients. The right balance of complex spices, the perfect texture. Salads are varied and interesting, especially a cabbage with sumac. You can taste the organic chickpeas. They have a very limited menu but their hummus, served in a way that reminded me of Damascus before the fall, is also outstanding. It is true that their fresh pita bread,excellent by American standards, does not match the lighter thinner sort you can get in Beirut or Jerusalem, but they can also prepare plates with different mixtures of falafel, hummus, salads, bread etc. Service is quick and cheerful. Definitely something to not miss. Sadly, they are only open for lunch, though they have a stand in the mornings in the Rhinebeck summer market.

I travel a lot around the world and I had falafel in many places - the most recent one was in Pokhara, Nepal. Yes, Nepal... and it was pretty tasty... However, the one place we keep on returning to for the best falafel is by far Aba's Falafel!

We've been following Aba's Falafel for many years now from one farmer's market to another and I am so grateful they opened their first restaurant! Now my family can enjoy their amazing falafel year-round!
