Owner description: Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard's winery & tasting room is situated on a 17 acre vineyard in the North Fork of Long Island NY. Our address is 1375 Peconic Lane, Peconic. Our tasting room & winery is located in an historic barn circa 1900's. This casual and rustic setting is a great place to start your wine appreciation. Through education and our hands on approach, is what makes our winery a perfect spot to enjoy on the wine trail. We have many Estate wines to choose from cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, White Merlot, and Chardonnay. Our tasting room is open Thursday-Monday see website for hours. Groups larger than 6 MUST make a reservation due to our limited space. Tours and Classes are also available. Please visit our web site for dates & times.

My husband and I took the Wine Blending class taught by owner Anthony Sannino. His passion for the craft and knowledge he shared were the highlight of our day. We’ve been on many winery tours and tastings in US and Europe and still learned a huge amount about the process from the vine to the glass. Also having the opportunity to blend, cork and label our own bottle gave us a new appreciation for what goes into making a bottle of wine. (As an aside we loved their Petit Verdot.). Can’t wait to see how they grow with the build of their new tasting room.

We purchased a drink flight Groupon which had 4 tastings and a bottle to take home. The amount of wine for tasting was extremely low. Enough for two sips. The wine as with most Long Island wine but more significantly was very low quality as compared to wines from the California regions. The red wine selection if you are a more heavy bodied red wine drinker was very dissatisfying. Still, we were looking more for the experience. There are much better choices in the North Fork. I would skip this location if you are looking to have an "experience" and enjoy unique wine here.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us and take advantage of our Groupon special. 10 out of our 12 wines have received a score of 88 or better, as well as bronze to gold medals from various NYS and International wine competitions. Each wine region has unique advantages that appeal to different wine drinkers. There are 35 different tasting rooms on the North Fork and we hope that you find one that suites you.

Took the Vine to Wine tour with the owner and winemaker, Anthony Sannino. Normally leaning to red wines, I found the White Merlot to be my favorite. Learning about the process and the love this family puts into their business has made this a must on all future trips. In the meantime, I'm ordering more online.

My fiancé and I went to Sannino for their “Winemaker for a Day VIP Blending Class.” It was an absolute pleasure. A full day of learning, tasting, and lunch, and we got to bring home a bottle that we blended ourselves. Definitely worth the price of the class. Anthony was patient and kind and fun! We joined the white wine club and will be back. A+ experience.

Vine to wine tour with owner Anthony Sannino. This man clearly has a passion for what he does, and the ability to tell the story. This was a fun, educational hour and 45 minutes. Throughout the tour he explained the process from the growing to creating the wine with tastings along the way. Ended in the aging room with a platter of cheeses and crackers, etc. this was informative, fun, and a must do if you want to learn about the process from start to bottle. Go do it.
