But not amazing. My girlfriend and i visited Rastoni last night. It looked well laid out and was one of the classier venues we had seen. However the prices were reflected in this. We were seated on the top tier which enabled a lovely view of the ocean and streets below. I had a pork skewer, the girlfriend had a beef dish. Both were cooked really well, we've had similar dishes at cheaper venues. You are essentially paying for the location. Though the staff it has to be said, were very good.

We stopped by in the afternoon, hand picked our table for the sunset view and left a small deposit to keep the table. When we arrived for dinner the table was waiting for us and our deposit was promptly returned. It was an enjoyable dinner, a little higher priced but not unreasonable considering we stayed for a few hours and had a great sunset view. All the food was good, not outstanding but good. Most enjoyable were the Santorini Tomato Balls as an appetizer and the warm Baklava dessert with ice cream. Yum! The server was attentive. There are plenty of restaurants in Santorini with great sunset views but less than average food...this is not one of them and, therefore I recommend!

the Rastoni is a very nice location with a spectecular sunset/caldera view. The prices of the mixed grill plate for two where to high for the quality offered. In my opinion not worth a visit, you can get better food for lower prices and also have the sunset/caldera view.

The view was excellent, however the food was a little dissapointed as the fish was not fresh, and still overpriced for "frozen" fish.

Friendly staff so OK to eat, nothing very special or tasty.

what a disappointment - we were hoping for fresh fish and great food to accompany the stunning view. It wasn't to be.

The restaurant looks stunning and we went straight in without a thought as it looked so inviting. We paid 44 euros for a tinned tuna salad, some luke warm pork, a diet coke and a yellow donkey beer. Of course they plonked bread & water on the table without asking (I've since found out that they must ask you, by law, if you want water and cant just open a bottle for you to bump up the bill).

When we looked at the menu we notices a lot of astrixes next to the fish dishes - upon inspection it meant that the fish was not fresh but frozen. So instead we ordered the tuna salad - wrongly assuming that it would be a tuna steak. It was from a tin.

It wasn't expensive but certainly wasn't value for money. Nice views - as you would expect but really not worth eating there - probably good for drinks as the sun goes down.
