OMG - this place was horrible. The second day and for 24 hours we had NO TOWELS. You are reading correctly. NONE from 9 AM to the next day when we checked out. We returned from a funeral all hot and sweaty. The room had been cleaned but no towels left. Saw the housekeeper and she said she would be right back with towels. An hour later we needed to get showered for a dinner party. I had to call the desk. Told NO TOWELS. So we did the best we could. Got back at 10 PM. NO TOWELS. I asked if they could take some from unoccupied rooms - told all rooms occupied. I asked if they could go out and buy towels. No. I asked if they could take dirty towels to laundromat down the road. NO! I was told to use my towels from the day before but the maid took them that morning. Next morning NO TOWELS. We checked out insisting on 1 night refund. Had a 6 hour drive to look forward to all smelly. Used 3 boxes of tissues to wipe hands and face. Manager very rude. Credit card PREPAYMENT in dispute with credit card company. Never in my life have I had such discourteous and rude people at a Wyndham. The Corporate 800 number offered us 3,000 points. Big deal - need 15,000 for 1 free night. We are done with Wyndham. REMEMBER - I warned you.

Room tip: just stay away

Made a reservation for this place for the night of Saturday, September 15 through Hotels.com. for my husband and myself, to spend the night after a surprise party a few hours from home. Having heard of folks showing up for a reservation late at night only to find the hotel overbooked and no room available, we went to check in before the party, and thank god we did. Despite having my email with a confirmation code showing that we did in fact HAVE a reservation, the person at the front desk (BOY, do I wish I'd gotten his name so I could mention it here) rudely informed us that he had no record of the reservation and we were out of luck. Not even a "so sorry for your inconvenience". His attitude was, essentially, tough sh*t As it turns out, it was a stroke of luck. They say you get what you pay for. Sometimes they're wrong, but sometimes they're absolutely right. Just pulling up in front of the place (and seeing the folks lounging about who looked they lived there) we could tell what the quality would be. Hotels.com quickly found us a room in a MUCH nicer hotel (AND honored our rate.) We've stayed in "cheap" hotels many times that were clean and comfortable, and where the staff couldn't do enough for us. Great bargains CAN be found. But if you're considering this place because of the rate, do yourself a favor: pay more and stay elsewhere.

Barely clean rooms. But ample parking around back; best Chinese restaurant in the city, on premises, in my opinion. Front desk manager, by the name of Brian, always ready to help...

A place for the night, and a simple breakfast included. Would suffice, for most. if you're posh, look elsewhere. Value deals under $100, here and there. Always check your reward points, but will come back in future discounts. The former "Royal Inn" still feeling "royal"; wonderful sculpture of Bonaparte in the lobby, if I'm not mistaken.

The first night we were told that the internet was broken and they had to call someone. That would take about 2 hours. Nothing happened. The next evening they gave us their network and password that had not been one of the original choices.
The breakfast was sparse at best. 6 bagels, a sliced white bread and a plateful of tiny muffins, plus Kellogg flakes. They were slowly replenished as used, but there were never more than 6 at a time. The food was being carefully doled out. They had 5 tables in a very small room with a sign not to take food out from there. They are an 80 room hotel.

Our room was not made up for the second night and we couldn't get new towels. First we were told that the maids were all working in the laundry and then another desk clerk said that the workers didn't come in. They promised towels in a half hour, later, first thing in the morning. Nothing happened and we would get another excuse when we called again. The maids had towels in the morning but not for us. The towels were counted out for vacated rooms only. The bathroom was superficially cleaned but remnants of previous guests remained but I won't describe futher
.

There was a man who worked in the breakfast room and was very accommodating. He was the only one at the hotel who seemed to care and he did his best to help everyone.
.The location is good, but for two days that cost over $200 it was a rip off. The carpeting was stained and ripped in many hall areas..I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Two and one half stars is a joke. It wasn't even a one!

Room tip: Go to another hotel

The room was very small--only one bath towel for 2 people----only one pillow each of us and we were drinking out of paper cups. The bathroom was so small we had to go in sideways. The free breakfast had no variety. The best part of our stay was the very helpful front desk night manager.
