Been coming to Malta Drive-in since I was a child. I’m always there opening night and almost every weekend. I love the Malta Drive-in and will continue to support them.
What a mess. We waited in line for over an hour just to get in. Completely inefficient entry process. When we called to ask if we could use the tickets another night, the man was a total dick and said “absolutely not!” We got in line on Route 9 for a movie at 8:00, for an 8:50 start time, we’re still in the car at 9:19, and missed 30 minutes of the movie and are still about 30 minutes from getting in. Save your money. As for the manager that I spoke to-terrible customer service.
Only one member of our family had ever been to a drive-in movie. There are none where we live. Visiting family in upstate New York we decided to go to this one. Went to a double feature for 10 bucks per adult. If you bring a cooler with food you get charged five bucks. They had all sorts of food at the snack bar.
Really good experience a lot of fun for the family! We even bought a T-shirt.
I know this is a drive in move most days but on certain Saturdays once a month in July thru October (7:30 AM to 3:30 PM weather permitting) it becomes a great flea market with 75 + vender spaces, snack bar, indoor restrooms and plenty of parking. You can shop for antiques, clothing , collectables, crafts, furniture, jewelry, lighting, tools, toys, and much more for only $2.00 a car load.
Love that there is a drive-in in the area and it is doing a great job of maintaining the fun off going to see a movie in your vehicle!!! Brought back so many great childhood memories. Highly recommend for a different nighttime family activity 😊
This place is a local gem. Two screens and first run movies makes for some good entertainment options. I go for the nostalgia, although the speaker posts are long gone (audio plays through your radio) it still manages to convey that feeling I had as a kid sitting in the back of the station wagon watching the show. I’ve done this with my kids in a minivan (not quite the same🙂). Be sure to check out the snack bar for a great burger and other favorites. The menu has expanded over the years and never fails to satisfy. Not gourmet, but if you are looking for that I doubt you’d be at the drive in. While you’re catching a flick think about days gone by and those simple pleasures. When you are in Malta be sure to check out the Albany Saratoga Speedway for some great auto racing action, but that’s a review for another day.
