I´m going to update this review as soon as I hear back from the hotel as there were some good aspects to my stay, however the overall experience was affected badly by the mix up with my booking, which the hotel cancelled without informing me. I made the booking months in advance through a third party and this was confirmed and I had paid in full. When I arrived at the hotel I was informed that my reservation was cancelled. After an international flight and being quite exhausted, I didn´t have much choice than to pay again and was annoyed to see it was for a much higher rate, no consideration was given to the fact that I had already booked and paid the third party. I received no assistance in contacting the third party to find out what had happened. Once I did finally manage to connect with the third party via an international call at considerable expense to myself, I found out the error was with the hotel. When I mentioned this to the staff member on reception I was informed I should have contacted the hotel myself earlier. Not something I have ever had to do with any confirmed booking I have had before with the same third party service. I have contacted the hotel to discuss how we can resolve this issue but have not heard back in over a week so at this time I cannot leave a positive review. I will be happy to update this if they contact me in the future.
