Nice enough hotel (weird use of concrete everywhere), very comfortable bed and pillows. Incredible front desk service from a woman named Zafira. Professional, welcoming, and so friendly. She really made the experience that much better.

We had a wonderful stay at Boro Hotel! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The view of the room was phenomenal and all was very clean and tidy, we had room service everyday and felt very special! Also the possibility to get a refrigerator and an iron for our room was a great benefit and very helpful!! Thank you so much to the whole team!!

It goes without saying that every hotel (and seemingly every room in every hotel) has its own personality. As does every member of the staff.
When I reflect on my 16-night stay at BORO Hotel, the word that comes to mind is cozy. Its assistant manager, David, and his front desk team made me feel at home.
They are flexible, responsive, thoughtful, and genuine. They upgraded my room in less than an hour when I mentioned that I needed a bit more space. They brewed complimentary espresso when I happened to miss the daily morning “coffee hour”.
They referred me to an excellent dry cleaner when I discovered that my khakis had a stain. They even broke room assignment protocol on one particular night when I was having trouble sleeping.
The rooms are spotless; and housekeeping is attentive. But the character of the building is somewhat unique in its furnishing and décor. “Rustic charm” is the descriptor that comes to mind. You certainly won’t forget you’re in NYC (views from the rooftop are flawless); but you might just wonder how ownership managed to bring a taste of country to a concrete jungle.
If you’re looking for a reasonably-priced hotel – something easy, mellow, and mild-mannered – this is your spot…

Cute hotel that met all of our needs. Not fancy, but modern and cool. Central location between Manhattan and US Open which we were visiting for. Rooftop bar has a great view as well as our room that faced the city. Nice staff as well. Did not eat in the restaurant, but the menu looked really good.

Excellent view over Manhattan, day and night!
Good service from the staff, friendly and willing to do anything.
We asked for a kettle in the room and they brought it immediately.
Free coffee and wine is a (very!!) nice gesture.
Good restaurant for breakfast/lunch and dinner.
Very nice neighborhood with enough foodoptions.
A few MTA subway stations on a walkable distance, within 30 min you are in Manhattan!
Few little things:
1. very little light in the room, no bedlight, we left the curtains open during the night, so no dealbreaker for us
2. one evening there was a party on the rooftop, we were on 8th floor, but still could hear the music, it stopped before midnight, so again, no dealbreaker
When we return to NYC, we would definitely visit Boro Hotel again.
