Great value for the price

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 12 Jul 2021
I stayed here while between apartments, and it is convenient/easy to get anywhere in the city (esp Central Park/Midtown, about 20 mins door to door). I'm super picky about cleanliness, but the hotel is very clean. The bed and sheets were all neat/clean, and I felt very comfortable. There's a large TV also and my double room also had a sofa. I wish there had been a wider range of room service options (especially veggie), but the food I did order was very good. If you haven't spent a lot of time in NY, I can see how the neighborhood might appear a little sketchy at night (it can get quiet), but it really is as safe as anywhere you might stay in the city. I do think it's a great value for the area. There are some really nice local restaurants as well, like Tacombi across the street, JACX food court around the corner, No Stress coffee just steps away (great croissants), Luzzo's (margherita pizza $8 carryout), and Indie LIC for breakfast/lunch. Book Culture is around the corner and a great option for bringing friends and family souvenirs they will actually want! Small tip: Get bottled water at the bodega, the hotel charges $3, which adds up. But a great value overall, plus nice staff too!

Best location to visit NYC. Way better than staying in Manhattan. Cleaner location but several restaurantes and other facilities as well as 10min from Central Park by subway.

Be aware of your room location as the noise overnight is annoying near elevator and staff rooms.

Great location, value and the staff is amazing. Very clean which I appreciate and the housekeeping is fantastic. Complimentary breakfast was actually good compared to other places I’ve stayed. I would stay at the Hyatt again and again. My whole family loved this place. Thank you to the entire staff!

I was trying out a new hotel and I picked this one and I was very pleased with it. The parking is bad unless you were able to park in the lot which I’m not sure has a fee but on the street is very limited. The room I had was very comfortable and cozy. I stayed in a high room which had a couch upon entering. I would definitely come back again.

Was working nearby one weekend and decided to stay here instead of taking the subway home late at night, and this was a good choice.

Located within walking distance to several subway stations and dinning options. The area was quiet and deserted at night, but felt generally safe.

The lobby was small but efficient. The staff was nice, warm and professional. The room, like the lobby, was also small, but it was fine for a short stay. The bed was a bit on the firm side, but otherwise comfy. The window looked out onto the on/off-ramp for the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, so definitely nothing to write home about. For breakfast, there was a grab bag that consisted of a yogurt and a bakery item. It's a nice alternative during these times than providing nothing at all.

Overall I had a nice stay. I wouldn't mind staying here again the next time I'm working in the neighborhood.
