JP the General Manager was awesome. Room was great with a view. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Room weigh balcony is definitely the way to go. We played the games downstairs too. Gym was great.

Review of Aloft Long Island City-Manhattan View

I work in the neighborhood, but my mom was visiting NYC, so I decided to put her in the Hyatt near Aloft so she could be nearby. We had a terribly unpleasant check-in experience at Hyatt (terrible customer service) so I canceled my reservation even though it was non refundable and walked around the corner to which we stumbled upon ALOFT.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted so warmly by the GM, Kiara, and the other gentleman whose name I can’t remember (it was his first day) that I was so glad I canceled my reservation at the previous hotel. They felt like family.
ALOFT truly understands the meaning of hospitality—their friendliness and professionalism truly reflect that Management invests in their staff. I would highly recommend you book your stay with ALOFT. Their rooms and rooftop boast stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, something even I, as a native New Yorker do not get to experience.
Moral of the story, don’t go anywhere else. This place is IT!

We liked our stay at Aloft LIC. The rooms are not large but they are very smartly laid out, and have everything we needed. The decor is funky/artsy. The front desk staff was nice/helpful. Bed comfy. Two things to be aware of: 1) They put $200 on hold upon check-in - seems like a lot compared to other NYC hotels we've stayed at. 2) There is no complimentary coffee or or complimentary anything except bottled water - as far as I can tell. The coffee machine in the lobby (which you have to pay for to use) was broken. So no coffee on a Sunday morning. That kinda sucked. But we'd definitely stay here again. Location is great - btw. Cool neighborhood!

Zero standards hotel. On the first night I have requested extra duvet and never received it. But the most embarrassing was to hear that regular bottled water is not included to the service and reception said “you have to go down and buy it”. And the ridiculous moment was when I came down to buy water and found reception unattended. I know this is not 5 stars hotel, but I didn’t ask for too much. I am extremely disappointed… and thirsty.
Room tip: Take water with you, and bathrobes and slippers. Take everything you need with you.

To the GM JP and entire staff at Aloft LIC, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Everybody made the 6 week stay as welcoming and accommodating as close family. Always friendly. Always smiling. Not one negative word or thought about my stay. Everyday was pleasant. Thank you for the room with a view. Thank you for the rooftop and the courtyard patio just off the lobby. Thank you for the pool table and the 24 hour gym access. Thank you for the super comfy bed. Thank you for the Bliss shower products. Most of all thank you for the people who seem genuinely happy to work for Aloft. I wish I had a boss like JP!
This is my first stay at an Aloft hotel. I’m sorry I waited so long.

From the moment we walked in, JP made us feel comfortable. Everyone had their masks on and sanitizers were available throughout the lobby and around the waiting area for lobby. Rooms are great and they’re cleaned very thoroughly. The garden space aloft has at this location is superb. Nonetheless, this review is due to JP’s hospitality and nothing else, he’s doing an excellent job.
