A gem of a place to stay.

A neat clean mid-range base for our NYstay.

We were happy with the pleasing standards This hotel met. Price was competitive with a range of similarly located hotels. The room was very clean, somewhat compact, comfortable and well maintained. Internal noise levels were good despite being opposite the very slow lift which has a loud and irritating DING as the door opens. Street noise is extreme when the soundproof window is opened even a little, but quite distant when closed with the air conditioner running.
A very good breakfast of basic fare cooked and with cereals was enough to get you moving each morning.
The staff at the front desk are welcoming and strive to make your stay enjoyable.
Proximity to the train is a 5 minute walk and from there the train ride takes about 15 mins to Central Station. It seems a safe area. The station requires a set of 63 steps. There is no lift. It’s not easy with luggage.
We would be happy to stay again.

Dear Guest
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We apologize for any inconvenience that you had during your stay. For the room size in NYC all hotel has same situation but we try our best with small furniture and beds to install in the room and well decorated. Based on Wyndham worldwide hotel and room standards we are required to provide the most basics of beds to our guest. The beds is part of the Days Inn standards and we have very little control to change it so please do excuse us, if it did not meet your expectations. Please excuse us at this time as we are doing our greatest everyday to provide the best for our guests. We hope to see you again at our hotel soon. We appreciate your comments.

The room was like a box. You can’t move. You can hear the guest next door. The towels was dirty. The breakfast was ok but you have to stand up while eating and the area was full of boxes like a storage room not a breakfast room.
Waste of money. $115/night is too much for the service that you will get.

Ok, first off--it's NYC folks, don't expect normal size hotel rooms (unless you want to pay 3 to 4 times more than you will pay at this hotel...even then you may not get that much larger of a room in many older NYC hotels). This hotel is VERY WELL LOCATED 6 minute walk to the Subway and in 4 stops you're in Times Square or you can stay on the train and go to Chelsea or all the way down to the World Trade Center. The hotel was very clean, both my room and the common areas. The staff was all pleasant and seemed to be focused on their work. Breakfast was what you expect for these places. Not much immediately around the hotel. But if you want a clean room, good bed, and easy access to subway and midtown...it's hard to beat this for the price. Also, I was on the noisiest side (next to the trains and Queens Blvd) and the windows if shut properly did a fine job of dampening the noise.

We stayed here 4 nights the first week of November 2017. We first stayed in the Hilton Time Square near broadway for our first four days on the trip. The HILTON hotel experience was marvelous, the Days Inn was lacking in cleanliness.

The Days Inn LIC was close to the subway, really inexpensive subway trips. Take that if you are going into Manhattan. We stayed in room 507 on the 5th floor. The room had a chemical, cleaning supply, musky smell to it - not very pleasant. The room in between the bed and all was about a foot on both sides. Tight quarters, and not the best internet connection. We connected to LinkNYC free and got pretty good internet from that.

The cleaning carts are left right outside our door 24/7, doesn't seem like they had a space to store them. They didn't vacuum our room before we got there and any of the time that we stayed, we were finding ear plugs on the ground from pervious guests. This hotel is located on one of the busiest intersections you could imagine, it was busy day and all night. The honking of trucks and cabs is constant. Luckily, closing the window gives a minor escape from the noise pollution. They had a ac/heater unit, which worked nice expect the burning smell while using the heater.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable, and they gave us 3 pillows, the bed looked so weird with just the three. The tv connection to channels was pretty bad quality, and the screen colors seemed off with a green tone.

The free breakfast was good, you should head down early to get food before they run out. The front desk staff was nice.

I don't think we would stay here again because I felt like it was really dirty, and I could have just stayed at the hilton in manhattan for $40 more. Overall I felt very uncomfortable due to the lack of cleanliness in the room.
