Hotel Archipelago is one the favorite hotels in Pemba! I stayed there for more than a month and the experience wa exceptional. The staff and general manager were extremely friendly, the restaurant was very flexible and I real appreciate that. One day we had a very great evening there as the general manager prepared a free special dinner for us as another way of making us feel at home, which obviously also added up to the good experience. I real enjoyed my stay there and I am recommending you all to visit the palce when you are in Pemba.

Stayed at the Hotel Archipelago for 13 nights during a mission to Pemba. The rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. Meals are tasty and of great variety. The manager is easy going and nice. The place is safe and homely. Need I say it? No noise! I could live here! I will certainly visit again.

The hotel is defined as luxury spacious beach bungalows on the website, the place is in a pretty bad condition with no luxury. Rooms are old and very small. There is no place to put your bags. The mosquito net was dirty and old. Mosquito is a major problem. Bathroom is very small and nasty looking. Breakfast was very poor.Only toast and eggs. Coffee was only available as instant powder from hot water. Service was very poor and very slow. Hotel is located on the edge of a mangrove inlet, not a sandy ocean beach. When the tide is out you get a view of the grey mangrove mud. There are lots of crabs on the beach. If you are looking for some comfort and luxury, I definitely don't recommend it.

- I will happily recommend this place to people who feel like a relaxing get away trip to Pemba. The place is great for both shorter and longer holidays. The location gives the opportunity to get a feel of the real Pemba life, hanging out in Choke Choke town, but also for tourists who want to explore the whole island. Staff was very kind and service minded and taught me about local fruits which I had never seen before. I even got a sample of the fruit with me home after my stay. Prices are good too. I had an overall good experience and I will recommend this to everybody who would rather put their money on exploring and activities than an expensive hotel/resort.
Room tip: Try to get a room with at view of the pool

This is my third term of stay at Archipelago hotel (July 2016, August 2017 and June 2018) serviced with accommodation and conference for trainings.
The hotel is located a safe and easy to reach (from whatsoever destination) area. The hotel has good rooms. Archipelago has conference rooms that can meet difference demands.
THE STAFFING IS GREAT LED BY A KIN AND RESPONSIBLE GENERAL MANAGER (MR. SUSHANT BEHERA WHO DEMONSTRATES HIS 9 YEARS IN HOTEL MANAGEMENT) It has a great team of staff led by Mr. Sushant Behera (General Manager with over 19year experience in hotel management).
Room tip: The hotel a swimming pool. Excellent wifi services.
