Picturesque island with best snorkeling we've experienced in Tanzania. The water is crystal clear, corals and fishes are colorful, sand is white, and photos taken back are like postcards from paradise. Quite hard to reach, especially with tighter budget, but possible. We used best (and and probably the only?) tour operator's in Chake Chake "Coral Tours" services - and we're more than happy with everything. Would advice to contact him before your arrival to Pemba, because it hard to arrange (or sometimes almost impossible) anything there by yourself and not only due to overpricing. There is no accredited dive center in Chake Chake, but the diving can be arranged by "Coral Tours", just keep in mind that it's you, who is responsible for a safety.

great reef with both fishes and corals, tridacniae. the island has a low tide and thousands of crabs do come out : it looks like if the sand is dancing!

No inhabitants except a fishing ranger and lots of wildlife but great diving from Fundoo Lagoon.
Avoid the coconut crabs and keep the food safe from the monkeys and you will not go wrong here
