Our room was a one bedroom suite with a king bed. It was the perfect size! The breakfast every morning was delicious and the dinner in the KANU restaurant was fantastic. The shuttle service into town was so convenient, thank you to Eric for the great company! As honeymooners, Lake Placid was such a lovely place in the fall. The autumn colours were breathtaking and there was so much to do on the resort and in town.

Very nice, expansive lodge. We had a large 3 bedroom suite. For the price paid, I would have liked to see more amenities in the bathrooms. No full length mirrors; lack of towel racks, or make up mirror. Hard to get ready for a wedding when you can't see yourself! Other than that, a very nice place with very friendly staff and woodsy, Adirondack style.

My wife and I along with our 3 year old grandson had the opportunity to stay at Whiteface Lodge for 3 nights. Our stay was very nice, despite the rain, which really gave us an opportunity to enjoy the lodge. The lodge itself is everything you could want in an Adirondack lodge… Rustic - log style decor, fireplaces, scenic views of the Adirondacks, hiking trails, etc. It was quite picturesque as the fall colors were at their peak during our stay.

It features a game room with a pool table, air hockey table, pingpong table, shuffle board table and bowling ally with 2 lanes. The weather kept us inside so we found ourselves using this room quite often. There are also toys for small children to play with. It’s a very enjoyable space. There is also a movie theater, which plays full feature films throughout the afternoon and evening, with complimentary popcorn.

There is a heated pool that is partially inside and partially outside. Since we were there in October, the air outside was cool but the water was warm. The whole experience was quite refreshing. The hot tub is also quite enjoyable.

All the rooms are suites, which are quite comfortable. We reserved a one-bedroom suite, which had a king-size bed, TV and dresser and wardrobe. The kitchen living room combination is quite roomy, with stove, 2 burner cooktop, refrigerator and dishwasher. The living room was very comfortable with a couch and 2 chairs. There is also a gas fireplace, which we used quite often to take the chill out of the air or warm our feet after walking the trails (when it wasn’t raining) and a large screen TV.

We ate almost all of our meals at the lodge. The complimentary breakfast is quite good and slightly different each day. There are 2 dining rooms. Since we were with our young grandson, we chose to eat at the more casual restaurant. We have dined at better restaurants but the food and service were good. The menu is a bit limited but we managed to find something we liked. The other dining room is a bit more upscale and the menu seemed to be good but we did not have an opportunity to try it.

The staff was very friendly, especially the valet/bellman, which were quite accommodating during our entire stay.

All in all, we would return to Whiteface Lodge again, perhaps during the summer or even winter seasons.

This lodge was incredible! I was amazed to find a groupon for our two night stay. We felt like a king and queen, loved the bathrobes and slippers in our suite. The s’mores were the best at the nightly campfire! Definitely recommend this place!

Room was wonderful, staff was great, grounds were nice. I think summer would be a great time for families. Leaves just starting to turn. Valet parking and check in went perfect. Loved the décor. Made me feel like I was in the mountains.
