Description: American Glory Restaurant is located in historic Hudson, NY, only two hours north of Manhattan along the scenic Hudson River. Situated in the heart of Hudson’s restaurant district on Warren Street, only a 15 minute ride from the Taconic State Parkway or NYS Thruway and within walking distance of the Amtrak station. American Glory specializes in legendary wood smoked BBQ and classic American comfort foods. Our menu includes many vegetarian and gluten free options. Housed in a masterfully renovated red brick firehouse, American Glory Restaurant boasts a rich history of dedicated firefighters. Formerly the H. Rogers Hose Company it was home to the second oldest volunteer fire department in the United States;organized in 1794. The firehouse has been meticulously restored to highlight the original red brick walls, wood floors and historic grand wooden staircase.American Glory is warm and inviting, filled with the aroma of wood smoked barbecue, hometown comfort foods, enjoyable music, good times and roaring laughter.A beautiful dark wood and mirror bar with ice chilled beer taps sits on the casual pub style first floor and expansive doors open to our sidewalk dining area. The second floor houses a spacious family dining room with seating for 100 people and doubles as an art gallery, featuring a different Columbia County artist each month. The additional private dining room with working fireplace and large screen TV seats 24 people, an ideal setting for business meetings, billiards, intimate gatherings and family Sunday dinners.

We were not overly impressed with the service we had to ask multiple times for drink refills and for our check. The food was okay. Definitely nothing to brag about. If we were ever in Hudson again I do not think that we would choose this place to eat at.

Ordered 2 BBQ sliders n a Reuben sandwich for the two of use to split. Ample portions and with sweet potato fries n yummy thinly sliced sweet pickles n onions. Very tasty, four choices of BBQ sauce, all great. Prices on the high side.

If the goal is to turn out BBQ brisket and ribs that have no discernible smoke or flavor this place succeeds. Nothing was terrible but nothing was good either. Overpriced, understaffed and certainly not BBQ. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. The shame of it all is that on a prior visit a year ago I was impressed. No longer. Won't return.

We were in Hudson, sightseeing. And found this place for lunch. I'm not a BarBQ person, but mu husband likes it. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I asked for the chicken sandwich without the spicy coating and they were able to accommodate me. The sandwiches were very good, the fries also. The staff is very friendly. Actually an old beautiful place. The bar was amazing with beers, whiskeys and just beautiful to look at. One thing--if you park on the street remember to feed the meter! We got a parking ticket for $8 for forgetting to feed the meter! Oh well, we were on vacation and from out of town, and laughed about it, when we got back to the car. Now if it was for $40 -we would not be laughing. Anyway and nice place to get a bite to eat or a drink and take in the Hudson atmosphere.

6 of my family members went there and were so disappointed ! Brisket was awful, corn bread was not cook all the way. My daughters ribs were dry and no flavor! Weird service-just a waste of money! Can't believe they stay in business!
