Friendly staff, greeted with hello Smile Olivia is an Awesome manager i have been staying there since October 2019 never an issue with reservation, great parking, quite atmosphere, on business for next 3 YEAR's this is my Hotel! !!!!

Review of Comfort Inn Albany / Glenmont

This was our 20th year of 2 high school friends getting together for the night...and 2020 was quite the year in general.
We enjoyed our stay very much, and it mostly met our needs. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool, which is a signature wish of our stays. The room was very clean! It had a fridge. The shower was very powerful. The bed was comfy. It was quiet sleeping. Hats off to the cleaning staff.
The breakfast was Grab and Go due to Covid restrictions. It had plenty of choices.
The front desk personnel was just OK. It is hard to interact with masks. She was newish, but did her best to help out with dinner suggestions by providing a list.
This hotel is not walkable to dinner, which is something I should have done a bit more research on. Combining that, COVID closures, it was a Monday (restaurants close) and our wish to eat outside...I ended up calling 20 restaurants from her list. We ended up taking a pricey Uber to Illusive Restaurant in Rensselaer. The next day we drove to Track 32 in Feura Bush for lunch before driving home. Both of those restaurants were great...open...with outside dining.
Probably due to the location and lack of dining choices we would not return. But...the hotel itself is fantastic...and deserving of a 5 star review.

Believe us, it has been a juggling act to keep a track of all the open restaurants in the area with the phase wise opening of the restaurants in NY upstate area. We have our F&B operations in-house too but it has been in shutdown since the COVID hit the NY state.

Larger, newer hotel. Clean &comfortable rooms on the larger side. Has small indoor pool & whirlpool. Good hot breakfast area. Responsive staff. Hotel on larger side, plenty of free parking. Easy access to Albany (10"). No complaints, yes we would stay here again.

Had a snowstorm on Sunday and it is now Wednesday and the parking lot still has not been plowed. Walkways are not shoveled. Went to use the jacuzzi after a long cold day at work and the jacuzzi was cold. Went to use the vending machine and the vending machine did not work. Very disappointed. Only gave it a average rating because the rooms are fairly nice and the staff is friendly.

My roommate and I were driving back to Buffalo from Boston, and got stuck in a white out for three hours. My car spun and was totaled out near Albany, which resulted in us being stranded on the highway. We arrived at this hotel around 10:30pm after a harrowing 2hrs waiting for a tow truck. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and helped to accommodate us past our check out time the next day while we arranged travel plans and waited for a train back to Buffalo. Their complementary breakfast was phenomenal. Our room was clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. It was also very affordable for two college students who were stuck unexpectedly in Albany. A terrible experience ended with us having our faith in humanity reaffirmed by how kind the staff was, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean, the staff was very polite and professional. One of the best stays we’ve had in any hotel. We’ll definitely stay here again . Came with my small child and they even provided me with the best room for our needs.
