I come to Doubletree Karaka all the time. One of the best facility about this hotel is the heated pool! However, apparently the new management of the hotel decided to stop the heating. This just ruined one of the best things about this property. I reallt wanna say I am not happy

Allow me to apologize for the change in how we operate the pool. We will not bore you with the details on this review site but am readily available to discuss them with you when you are visiting us again. The decision to reduce the operating temperature of our pool was dictated by sustainability guidelines and how the operating perimeters where set at design stage. Unfortunately, the pool has been operated well beyond those standards and required correction. In addition, the life expectancy of the equipment and our ESG objectives were considered.
We will continue to operate our pool as a temperature-controlled pool during the typical NZ swimming months in a range of 18-22 degrees Celsius.

What a treat to attend a work conference at this hotel. The location is quiet and felt rural and the grounds and rooms were luxurious, finished beautifully, themed to perfection with the Karaka horse sales.
The bedding was plush and the dining was world class. I highly recommend staying here if your heading to Auckland.

Impressive with their app check in. Is very easy and handy. We can even choose which room we want in the app! The room was spacious and bed were very comfy. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good with plenty of selection and the staff is friendly. The in room dining was really delicious. We really enjoyed our stay in DoubleTree. Oh by the way, they make nice flat white~

We were in New Zealand for a week and planned our stay on the North Island. This hotel is close enough to Auckland so travel to and from the airport is easy and there are amazing points of interest within an hour and a half drive. The hotel was built in 2022 so it has all modern features and our room was clean and spacious. Although there is a restaurant in the hotel, we opted to eat at dinner at couple of local establishments. Our first day was on Easter, but instead of their brunch, we grabbed lunch at the bar. The hotel staff including our bartenders and front desk personnel were professional, helpful, and friendly.

Had an awesome stay here, staff at the front desk and restaurant were friendly and helpful. First ever place the gym has had an Assault Runner!! Had everything I needed in there, Breakfast was great, place was clean and tidy. We will be back!!
