I was looking for a house that could sleep a dozen, was private, and was in a scenic location. This fit the bill and my group loved our stay.
The House
We loved all the different things to do - we built a fire in the fire pit outside, played shuffleboard and pool in the basement, grilled on the deck (great grill, easy to cook 3 dozen burgers and dogs), and relaxed in front of the two TVs. Bedrooms were all fine, but the master was especially nice, lots of room, a third TV, and a great view over the property. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/dishes and easy to make breakfast in. House was very clean when we arrived and had a lot of thoughtful touches - beds were neatly made, new items throughout the house (unopened sponge, new toilet seat cover, etc.), and a welcome message on the whiteboard. Didn't look in the barn/garage at all, so can't comment on that.
Property
Gorgeous, the house and deck looks down the property towards a valley with hills on the other side. Very secluded on a quiet road. Driveway fit our dozen cars easily. We only explored a little (to the tree line), but looks like you could hike around a bit. We enjoyed the hammock in the yard, and the fire pit with a ton of dry wood provided was great.
Experience
April and Patrick were very responsive in booking the property and responding to questions we had before arriving. I set off the house alarm when we first got there, and they were immediately available on the phone to walk me through turning it off and then resetting it. Pleasure to deal with - very responsive and professional and I'd happily work with them again.
Obviously we really enjoyed our stay - much better than any hotel or campsite in the area. A few of us are looking forward to heading back again, maybe for a family weekend.
