Spent a few nights at the hotel and the staff was amazing. For an older Crowne Plaza, it was well kept up. The restaurant that they have is very very good. The staff at the restaurant are also. We had Bill Mimosa as our main server for our breakfast is and he is excellent. If you can get into his area, you will be very pleased. He sprout Lee the most efficient server I have ever had in my 72 years. Back to the hotel, the enclosed courtyard is huge and is a wonderful place to kick back and have a drinkor even just a cuppa coffee.

I have been to the Desmond Hotel numerous times over the years for conferences. The hotel became run-down and smelled musty so we moved to another local hotel. We are now back at the Desmond. The hotel has been completely renovated. Rooms are very nice, beds are comfortable, front desk and entrance is lovely. The musty smell in the courtyard still exists but everything else is very nice. Here is my issue - when we checked in they gave us a room we did not want. Had to go back to front desk to get a different room. I guess because they must have cancelled my reservation, the removed the conference rate and when we checked out, they charged almost double what I should have been charged. Had to go back to front desk to have fixed. Received a call today from my back that someone applied for a Bonvoy Credit Card in my name (I did not) - my guess is that someone at the front desk used my information for that.

Was here today for mother's day brunch
Husband was sick-did the right thing and stayed home.
Desmond said they still had to charge ($70) for him,fine, but I asked if we could get a to go meal and they said for food safety reasons no they couldn't.
I ran a food service operation and see no reason you couldn't provide a take out meal. I also have a degree in public health and feel punished for doing the right thing.
