What a wonderful weekend we had staying in this amazing hotel!! Stylish and so very comfortable where the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure that your stay is everything you wish it to be. The art is a treat in itself, and the breakfasts fabulous!! A must !!!

We have been in this place just before Mr. Singh took over. There is no doubt that it is and was a very memorable landmark. Lovely people, top restaurants etc. But under Leeu Collection, prices went about double. It was and is a 5 star property, but unless Mr. Singh wants a very quick return of his heavy investments in Franschhoek in general, there is no really judgment for this exceptional high prices, even if the place is exceptional.

Room Tip: there are lovely places to stay around LQF at much more competitive prices

On arrival at Le Quartier Français at lunch time my wife was feeling unwell and just needed to go to bed and rest, the staff could not have been more concerned or helpful ! Quickly a room was readied for us so that she could retire and throughout our stay my wife was asked how she was feeling by staff who were genuinely concerned ( i would like to convey my sincere thanks for this )
Franschhoek is basically built along one main street and Le Quartier Français is about half way along the street, the rooms are set around a square which gives a wonderful quiet setting, in the centre of the square is the pool and sun area all thoughtfully planted and kept immaculate, the rooms are extremely well presented and tasteful, the bar is located to the front of the property and has a program of live music on certain nights, the breakfast was superb taken in on a patio area adjacent to the bar, with the restaurant also set adjacent to the bar the hotel has everything you need, walk out of the front door and you have a micro brewery, a quality Indian restaurant, cafes and numerous shops all set on the one street.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Quartier Français which included a complimentary trip for a wine tasting at leeu collections vineyard (superb),
We would like to thank the manager and all the staff that made our stay so comfortable, it was wonderful, thanks !
( I understand that the leeu collection are opening a hotel in the English Lake District at Bowness, can’t wait !! )

In the lovely Franchhoek, South Africa, you can rest en relax, from the rushing lives we usually have, in this fabulous resort! The ambience, the quality of the rooms, and the marvelous beds completes everything if you want to settle for a couple of days!

My first time in Franschhoek and I absolutely fell in love with Le Quartier Francais. Love the location. It is in town, but the place itself is a private gorgeous oasis. The staff was lovely and went out of their way to be helpful to me. The art was so beautiful in my room, around the grounds and public areas. The breakfast was sublime. Everything about this place is so well done. I’m looking forward to coming back.
