I’m sorry ,but I can’t not give this hotel more than 2 stars .
The hotel itself is a newer Hampton Inn and nice looking ,the rooms are also new and nice .
MetLife stadium: the hotel advertise they are close to the stadium and a good choice if you are going there . Well ,non of the staff knew anything about how we could get there or come back (we asked 3 different stafff members) . One didn’t even know the stadium existed. No shuttle . Ok price if you take an Uber to the stadium,extremely expensive to take one back . If you go to a day game you can wait a bit in the shopping mall before you take an Uber back For a night game be prepared to pay usd 100-150 to get back to the hotel.
Breakfast:
Extremely chaotic ,not enough room to all the people staying in the hotel . Long lines all the time ,we didn’t even bother to eat there the last day . Grumpy staff who closed at the minute even if people were still in line .
Housekeeping:
They were supposed to come every day we were told . First day they didn’t come ,second we asked them to come . They gave us fewer towels ,no toilet paper and didn’t clean .
The lastt day when we were checking out and shouldn’t have cleaning ,they came .
The worse case was the night we came back after being out for 10hours. Our keycard didn’t work ,I went to get a new one and was told it wasn’t the card it was the lock that was empty for power (must be a normal problem as they knew without checking) … they should send and engineer. I tried to say we were 3 people sitting in the hallway with a lot of shopping bags . He said it would take 15-20 mins … we sat there exhausted in the middle of the hallway outside the room . No one came ,after 30mins I went back to the front desk . They seemed to have forgotten about the whole thing . They were friendly enough,but this wasn’t ok at all . It was close to 10 in the evening and we sat there in them hallway . They came after what was close to an hour and changed the whole lock . Again ,front desk was friendly enough,but had no knowledge about anything. I stay in hotels 7-10 days a month and has never experienced something like this before .
They could at least offered some kind of compensation.
I will never stay again and can not recommend this hotel .
