We always choose hampton inn while traveling. We love the bedding and consistency of the service, cleanliness and comfort.
This was our first bad experience with 20 plus years of stays. Primarily due to housekeeping. We checked in at almost 10pm in the evening. We got up to room 443 to find that it had not been cleaned from the previous stay. I went back down to the office and he gave me a new card for 445.
The day after check out I realized I had left a $350 Sony headset around the bed area. I called spoke to ashley who said housekeeping would call me the next day. No call. I called the following day back and talked to ashley again. She said she would get ahold of them and call back. Which she did to tell me they were not found.
These are large noise canceling black Sony headset. Not something that would be missed at cleaning. It my mistake I left them but dishonest of the housekeeper to not turn them in.
I would definitely still use hamptonn inn in the future just not this one amd caution others about the dishonesty of housekeeping at this location.

Checked into the Hampton Inn Linden, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, for one night. We arrived a little early, and the staff including the manager, was very friendly, and told us their is an early arrival fee, and stated our room was not ready. The check-in staff made sure the line moved fast when we came back at 3 p.m. The hotel was very full, and everyone seemed to be in great spirits. There is plenty of parking, and it is also in a shopping strip, with a Shoprite, The Home Depot, Chevy's Mexican Restaurant, and other small stores and restaurants. Across the road, there are even more stores, including a Walmart and Chik-fil-a. Our room was basic, yet comfortable, and we heard very little noise. The breakfast buffet seemed nice, my husband said it was pretty decent.
It was crowded, yet everyone seemed comfortable and were enjoying their food. We stayed on the first floor and did hear early in the morning, the staff prepping the food, but it did not bother us, as we were leaving early. Check-out was fast and with a smile. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

I was somewhat hesitant to book because of the reviews, but I am glad I did! The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms have been remodeled and everything in my room was very clean and felt new. The morning breakfast was warm and typical Hampton Inn (bagels, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, waffles, etc). Everything was replenished timely. Great hotel, don't hesitate to book. Short walk to Starbucks and Target and other shop.
