We eat here often and have never had a bad meal. Burgers and thin crust pizza are always reliable. The corned beef reuben is one of the best around, mounded with lean corned beef and plenty of sauerkraut and swiss cheese on rye. There are always specials, and many of them are more interesting than you might expect in a bar. Now that it is October they have several German dishes including a Wurst Combo and Sauerbraten. There are many entrees to choose from. The pecan chicken is delish and something you don't see in other restaurants. Steak and pasta dishes are always available, as well as other chicken dishes.
I usually order soup with dinner because they often have tempting daily offerings that are a little different (Horseradish Beef, yummy!) but my partner always gets the salad. You won't find a crisper, colder side salad any where near here!
Bar offerings are pretty standard. Beer and cocktail choices will suit most people, wine is a little more limited but the commonly asked for varietals are available.
Service is friendly and fast and the prices are moderate, especially considering the generous portions. I nearly always bring home enough for dinner the next night.
Mulligans offers good, solid value with enough selections for a wide variety of tastes.
