This hotel has continued to get worse every year. They need new furniture, new fixtures and new carpeting. The breakfast was passably for a motel 6 but not what I would expect from a Hilton branded hotel. The staff was very pleasant but the hotel is just grungy and is in desperate need of a facelift.

The first indication of things to come was walking in from the parking lot past leaning/falling metal gates surrounded by yellow caution tape. We then entered the hotel and called for the elevator. When the door slid open the bright fluorescents flickered so violently and brightly that it felt like a scene from a horror movie or perhaps a late night rave in a seedy club. We decided to walk to the other elevator and got to our room. We chose a suite because of the number of people in our party. The main room of the suite had a strong cleaning/air freshener odor. There was clearly an attempt to overcome the smell of something else. The furniture in the room was worn, stained, and depressing. We then moved into the bedroom. The desk in the room had broken legs so that with the wrong touch it would fall. The bed was clean but with sheets and blanket of the lowest possible quality. The tiny bathroom had cracks in the shower walls and with extra holes from a sloppy attempt to fix the shower curtain. Everywhere we looked we would see either a stain or signs of disrepair. The next morning we checked out the breakfast which while not lavish was definitely satisfactory. A visit to the bathroom in the lobby allows us to find that the handle to the bathroom door was held in place with duct tape. This bookend to our stay was the perfect symbol. This property is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand. Either spend some money to fix it up to justify your pricing or take your brand off of it. As it is, we’ll be avoiding the Homewood Suites brand.
