I should’ve read all the online reviews before booking. We need a place to crash on our road trip upstate and thought this place is a good stop in between. We checked in at the hotel on June 20th, 2023 at 10:00 PM and was given room 206. It was the so-called premium room. However, what we got is nothing premium, not even close to basic! I’m referring to cleanness and hygiene. Idk where to start but the hotel definitely doesn’t meet all the cleaning check box- from molds on the bathroom door to the one on the floor. We found stains on the sheet and the also in the sofa.
And how many people complained about BED BUGS???? I never thought in a million years that I would experience this. As we tried to get some sleep, we found this tiny disgusting creature in our bed! Yes beneath the pillow.. first we weren’t sure that if it was alive, so I grabbed it and moved it to the night table. Indeed it was alive. I immediately pour some eucalyptus oil to kill it and ran downstairs to report the incident. The front desk guy told us it wasn’t a bedbug but a tick! Whether bedbug, tick, or larvae or anything… those thing aren’t supposed to be in a HOTEL ROOM. No we didn’t expect a Ritz Carlton luxury nor Double Tree quality, but a decent clean room as any normal hotel would be.
For 115/ night (tax included), this place is a joke!! We checked out just before midnight and asked for a refund. The front desk guy informed us that he’s not authorized to do that and will ask the GM the next morning. When we asked for the GM contact, he declined, he just told us to call them again. Apparently this General Manager (Manny) doesn’t have an email!!! Really!?!!! -… no run from this place dont bother to stay here, spend your money somewhere else. I’m going to take this complaint seriously and will escalate this to the chain.
