We've stayed here in the past and always had a nice experience. This time was different.
1) We had two rooms for two nights in July, one room with 2 queen beds and the other with a king. The second room had a sleep-sofa (actually, chair-and-a-half size) crammed into a corner of the room. This unnecessary obstacle made access to the far side of the king bed limited. Crazy! If there's third guest in the room and the convertible bed is open, the person using the far side of the king would have to walk on mattresses to get in and out of bed.
2) The hotel information accessed on the TV states that on Saturday and Sunday, the Starbucks Cafe in the lobby is open until 11 AM. We, and several other guests, were unhappily surprised when we discovered at about 10:30 that they close at 10 every morning. Since this is the only place to get coffee or breakfast in the hotel, it would be nice to have accurate information so guests can plan accordingly.
3) Funky elevators - my daughter was returning to the 4th floor from the lobby when the elevator stopped between floors. Persistent pushing of the '4' button got it going again......it stopped at 3, even though no one was waiting for it on 3, and she got off and walked up.
There are several other of the chain hotels nearby and we'll probably skip Courtyard next time.
