From the outside, this hotel looks like it once upon a time must have been a fancy hotel that catered to the wealthy. The lobby still has that look, and you think the upstairs is going to match the lobby and outside curb appeal. Wrong!!!
As you step off the elevator, you can see the hotel interior has clearly been remodeled cheaply - and its age shows. It’s like any other hotel once you get past the exterior and the lobby. The room we were in was clean, so it gets points for that. The beds are comfortable, but didn’t feel like true queen sized beds. They were snugger for two - more so than other queen beds we have shared. However, the main issue we had was the air conditioning in our room didn’t work and broke on our first night. As a result, my entire family had a horrible night’s sleep. It was stifling hot in our room - in the middle of July. This awful night made a very busy day the next day extremely difficult. When my husband informed the front desk of the issue, they immediately fixed the compressor in our room that was misfiring (not firing).
We are awaiting management’s reply re: a refund for the first uncomfortably hot and sleepless night - then I will update rating accordingly.
