Matthew and his staff delivered excellent customer service during our brief overnight stay. We were graciously shown accommodations to choose from even though the motel was fully booked. The heat went out on a very cold October night and Matthew refunded us $100 on the spot.

Room tip: The little cottages in the back are more quiet than rooms facing highway but these cottages are rather dark and dreary with only one window.

The place is amazing, beautiful, comfortable, the office staff - the best!
Great views. Yummy coffee at the office. Got a lot of information on what
to see and when. One of the best motel experiences ever.

Room tip: Inquire about the "White House"

We stayed for 2 nights during the fall and were pleasantly surprised at how big the rooms were.

Each room has a fridge, microwave, 2 queen sized beds, base board heat and window air conditioner. Rooms are well insulated so you do not hear your neighbors. There is free coffee and hot water for tea in the office.

Would definitely stay here again. One suggestion would be to do like hotels do and give us something to hang on the door if we do not need our room cleaned every day. Would save you time and money.

So after a nightmare of a place we checked into first, we drove down here and asked if they had any vacancies. The woman who came to the counter (I believe the owners wife) was a sweetheart. She let us check their open rooms and cottages. The owner gave us an excellent rate for the cottage (we were offered the biggest suite for the same price but wanted something more intimate). The cottage was small but beautiful. It was clean and had everything we needed. The daily housekeeping was perfect and they were more than happy to work around when we were there and not. They made fantastic recommendations for places to check out and eat at. We would definitely stay here again. Only con is if you care about wi-fi it could use improvement but honestly if you’re there on vacation it isn’t a big deal at all.

Thank you for giving us a wonderful place to stay on our honeymoon!

We have been going to this place as a family tradition for the past five years, the location is super convenient for daily hikes in the area of the White Mountains (hiking is our main reason for visiting NH) and a few minutes drive to the center of town shops.

The cottages are simple but kept impeccable. They come with a porch that is perfect for a night cap, or a morning coffee. One thing that is very different from other motels is that the cottages are not by the highway, they are located in the back of the property and by a stream that runs behind them.

The grounds have picnic tables and charcoal grills, there is also plenty of room to play around (volleyball net, horse shoes, bocce, and other sport equipment), and a nice and clean heated pool.
At night, the owner (Jim) will kindly light up the fire pit, where you can sit around and have a conversation with your family or other guests.

This is a great place for anyone looking for a nice place to relax. Jim (owner), his son, and the staff will go out of their way to make your stay incredibly pleasant.
