Awesome!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Jun 2013
Didn't get a chance to stay but have seen the rooms and they are spacious. Plan to stay there on my next Vegas trip. Resort itself is awesome with cool views of the strip and gondola rides. Great experience for tourists.

First class facilities. But could not/ would not really deal with a serious billing issue we had. Upon arrival on our honeymoon at check in we were informed we had yet to pay for two nights. We had paid for everything beforehand. I informed the man of this and was not listened to, being told it was sorted. We were asked for our visa for a deposit.

The next day we realized that almost €700, a significant amount of our holiday money, which still has two weeks left had been taken out of our bank account. This caused issues at home ie unpaid bills. Having explained this, we were informed it was an error. I proposed letting the charge stand and reimbursing us at the hotel. I was told no and that they would sort it that day. We were also given $150 food credit, which we appreciated.

We later received a message from the front desk stating it would take 7 - 10 days to sort. By then our holiday will be over. We asked at the front desk about this. They stated the best they could do was 24 - 72 hrs. That was today. They offered us no solutions and the man at the desk smirked and laughed when we informed him that that was a significant portion of our spending money. Very disappointed by the whole affair which could put a dampener on the rest of our holiday. Also got charged $32 for 2 drinks at a poolside bar!

Really feel the issue could have been dealt with a lot better.

This was our fourth time to Vegas and we always stayed at different hotels, this may be the first we repeat! It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We loved the shops and restaurants, among our favorites was Lagasse's Stadium, Grimaldi's Pizza, Lavo and Canonita. The casino was good and good to us and the service was excellent in the casino.

The only thing we didn't love is that we were placed in the Venezia Tower vs the Venetian Tower but since it was our first time we didn't know better. The rooms there are great no problem there, it is just a really, really far walk to EVERYTHING! It actually stopped us from visiting the casino on a couple of nights coming from the strip because we said we didn't feel like going that far to then go back real far to the room. I would most definitely stay here again if I could call Guest Services and request a room in the Venetian Tower. Otherwise, we might try yet another hotel. Venetian by far beats out alot of others with room size and look and the shops and restaurants.

One other minor thing, a couple times when we tried to call down to the front desk to ask a simple question, the phone went unanswered for a while until I gave up. But other than those two things it is the best place we have stayed in Vegas so far!!!!! Please let us stay in the Venetian Tower and we WILL be back!!!!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing The Venetian | The Palazzo as your host during your recent visit to Las Vegas. I am pleased that you enjoyed our opulent suites and indulgent housekeeping service. Still, I am disappointed to learn that your visit was not a complete success, and apologize for the challenge you experienced with your suite location. The Venezia is designed to provide a more secluded, quiet and restful experience; therefore, it is more removed from the hustle and bustle of the main casino floor and resort. I am disheartened to hear that you did not bring the discontent with your suite location to our attention while you were here on property, as we would have made every attempt to relocate you to a suite in our main Venetian tower.

I am pleased that this mishap did not dampen your spirit or take away from the other aspects of your stay that exceeded your expectations. I hope to have the privilege of serving you on many more visits to The Venetian | The Palazzo in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Kirsten Dimond

My wife and youngest daughter stayed @ The Venetian, Monday through Thursday, Memorial Day Week 2013. Beautiful and you can not ask for anything more modern in the Hotel Casino world. Just an array & many slot machines + plenty of poker/dice gambling tables. Extremely friendly and a most "can do & can we help you" attitude by every single employee @ The Venetian. We stayed at a Bella Suite (2 queen beds) ... the beds were excellent, bathroom is huge, 3 flat screen TVs, and living room area with a desk, a dining table and sofas. We rate our stay and overall experience @ The Venetian @ the highest mark for all the right reasons. We truly loved this four day experience @ The Venetian & can not wait to return soon.

This is one gigantic hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful which is good as we kept getting lost. There is a nice touch of luxury in the suites, spacious seating area, very comfortable bed with nice crisp linen. Even a tv in the bathroom but unfortunately you cannot see this if relaxing in the bath, oh dear, nice idea though. This is another hotel which charges a "resort tax" very annoying hidden extra. Lovely hotel to wander around and great restaurants. If you take a gondola ride, recommend in inside one, much more scenic and cooler.

Room tip: You can pay extra and have a view of the strip.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor. I apologize that your stay was not a complete success. The Venetian | The Palazzo combine to create the world’s largest five diamond resort and while this is impressive, it can also make finding things challenging. Since you mentioned that you had trouble navigating our property I recommend The Venetian | The Palazzo mobile application for your next visit. Had 6 nights in May, wow what a hotel, stunning, you will not be disappointed, fantastic pool, restaurants, shops, rooms are great our view was great, only couple of niggles, it really grates visiting such a high end hotel & then being expected to pay the 'Resort Fee' if you want to use Wifi, I know Vegas is all about grabbing as much money off of you as they can, but for goodness sake, get rid of the resort fee & include it in the price. Though they do let you opt out of the resort fee if you aren't going to use the gym, wifi, or get your free newspaper. Also, house keeping, unless you want them knocking n the door & entering the room at 8.30-9am every morning, put a do not disturb on the door, we did not expect to be hassled out of our room in Vegas of all places due to the late nights. Other than that this hotel was fantastic & we would definitely go back.
