Book elsewhere

This hotel had been recommended and we decided to book here for a weekend getaway. The prices were reasonable compared to other hotels especially to those on the strip. I had called the hotel before I made a reservation and was told that I would get a AAA discount upon arrival and that I would need to show my card. When we arrived we were told that this had to have been done online so there was miscommunication and no discount was given.

Hoping things got better, when we arrived at our room, we were happy that the room was spacious and very clean. However, things went downhill quickly. There was no WiFi at all. I called downstairs and was rudely told that it wasn't working. I got that. It was important for us to have WiFi because I brought my work laptop and my son brought his school work to do - both of us needed to log on. We couldn't even go online with our data. We were cut off completely. No WiFi, no cable, no way to make plans to find a local library where they had WiFi or anything. And there was no person to help us either.

We went out for lunch hoping it would be fixed by the time we came back a few hours later. That wasn't our luck. We were told that it was a problem the entire block had - in other words the hotel because it occupies a city block. We asked for a supervisor but there was none. This hotel has no customer service. I mean this literally. You only have a check-in area and bell area. No concierge or anyone that can help you with any problems you may have.

We decided to leave the next day and not stay for the two days intended. I will never set foot in this hotel and will never recommend it.

Room Tip: Casino smells of cigarettes. Rooms are spacious. No concierge or customer services people.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, and we sincerely apologize that we did not achieve this during your stay. On the Wi-Fi outage: this was due to a fiber optic cable being damaged, something that was outside of our control and reliant upon an outside vendor to complete the complex fix.

Before booking we read good and not so reviews. Our experience was excellent. Arriving at 10pm we was greeted warmly at registration, given room 1614 overlooking the Strip in the distance. Our room large with a comfy King bed a large seating area and a large bathroom too. Nice toiletries and coffee in the room.

The casino itself a really friendly locals environment, entertainment included a nice movie theatre and a many lane bowling alley. We felt right at home during our stay, gambling a little, a couple of drinks at the bar, and a nice dinner at Ondori Asian Kitchen. Great place too, inexpensive.

A couple of miles from the Strip, plenty of Ubers, and a local city bus that runs along Tropicana.

Room tip: The Irish bar next door McMullans is cosy, with a great atmosphere

We come to Vegas every year, the past 8 years (minus Covid 2020) we have stayed at the Orleans. Is it older yes, it’s not a new fancy hotel on the strip.
(The strip is too busy and the tables are over $25)
Kelly at the front desk was wonderful.
I love how all the staff says good morning even the security guards.
The pool is great no need to fight for a chair.
The dealers are so friendly you want to stay at the table evening if you are losing. Lol
I do wish the slots were a little kinder.
But we feel we are home at the Orleans. I travel with my 75 year old mother and I feel safe if we go into different directions.
Many food options, love the Alder and Birch, even hit a movie this year. Must do the Marriage can be murder.
Thanks Orleans for another wonderful 6 days!!

First thing I noticed when I went to check in was how filthy the walls and floors were. The place also had a weird smell to it. When I got in on in the early morning hours of my check in, they had cancelled my reservation and given away my room and told me they were charging me for the first night and left me with no where to stay. The check-in staff were extremely rude and unhelpful especially the manager. Would never go back to this place and suggest you avoid it at all costs.

Amenities reduced as no shuttle to the strip and restaurants and buffet closed. Also work going in in food court area so not pleasant area to visit. Prices gone up but service down slow service in the Copper Whisk cafe. Fish & chips in Fgi Friday was awful as overcooked and smelt of old fat. Road works on Tropicana made getting to the strip difficult. Not sure that we would stay again

Room tip: In room Wi-Fi poor

I stayed at the Orleans for 10 nights and when i booked the stay through ebookers it gave me VIP access to a free room upgrade, $15 food and beverage credit per room and flexible checking out time. When we booked in the hotel had no details of the VIP access and seemed unwilling to offer anything to compensate. I have stayed at the hotel before and given the price of the resort fee which is $41.80 a night i asked for a fridge and in the past the hotel has given it to me for free but this time they didn't seem interested in helping me out with anything. I had to contact ebookers to sort out my VIP access which they sorted out and then had to go back to the registration to make sure it was valid. Once again though it seemed that the person in charge on the front desk was not interested in giving good customer service.

On Sunday the room was not cleaned up by housekeeping despite phoning them up to request it and again given the resort fee i don't see why i should have to ask for housekeeping as that is something that should be apart of your stay no matter what. If you don't want housekeeping then you put a do not disturb notice on your door.

For all the years i have stayed at the Orleans this year has been very disappointing and it seems they just want to take as much money from you as possible
