Been some big changes since last visit . The half hourly small 15 seat shuttles to the High Roller on the Strip have been replaced by an hourly 56 seat coach like the ones to Sams Town and Downtown. Most of the changes are to the BConnected club and connected benefits. I will only detail the ones that affect the hotel here but I certainly won't be gambling here in the future.

Emerald card holders are no longer exempt from the hated resort fee adding as much as 50% to the cost of a room . Discounts on the buffet for card holders have also been halved so for example an emerald card holder now get a $3 discount at dinner instead of a $6 discount. The VIP room which provided free coffee/soda is now limited to the two new hig roller gambling levels and Emerald is excluded. This meant that on my most recent visit I saw a total of three people go into the room during a two week stay.

Penny pinching would be a charitable view of what Boyd is doing. Most annoying is that most of the staff have no idea of the new rules leading to a casino host saying emerald was still exempt from the resort fee but check out charging it and refusing to even check with the host. I would class this hotel as good value now rather than great value, you tend to notice the tired décor and dated fittings more when paying extra.

To sum up I would still stay here rather than on the strip but would no longer recommend gambling here.

See my other reviews for further details, but the new room decors are very nice, the updated bathroom match any from the other Casinos. Everything went perfect on the trip. Everyone still friendly, from the maids, security, registration We stayed on the 20th floor, wow nice decor and great rooms,

The rates are great and you can get away from the strip to rest up. This casino has it all, even a movie theatre.I enjoyed the cafe for breakfast each morning and FRIDAYS for evening meals. Pqrking is no problem here, and you can get to anyplace on the strip quickly.

Year after year still best value in Vegas. Big , big , room 67 bucks all included taxes and resort fees...if you sign up direct on website for motel can also get food coupon and similar room price... booking.com otherwise cheapest route...movie theatre , old Vegas charm ( but not gaudy like strip) , many good restaurants and best of all great poker room...6 bucks Uber pool to the strip....and walkable depending...awesome place to stay !

We went to this casino hoping to get away from the noise and crowds of the strip. This was the perfect get away! It wasn't completely dead in there but it wasn't shoulder to shoulder people either. We had a lot of fun just being able to get on a few of our favorite machines without too much trouble. They don't nickle, dime you for everything like the corporate casino's on the strip do. They are also one of the few casino's in the Vegas area that don't charge for parking. They have plenty of options to choose from when you want to get something to eat. From what we saw all their restaurants seemed to have pretty reasonable prices. It is just a real nice place to go to get away from the hussle and bussle of the strip. We have never stayed here but we would consider getting a room here on our next visit.

Room tip: We didn't stay here but we heard that all the rooms are pretty nice.
