I paid in full 3 months early for a reservation at the Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas for Friday 8/9/24 to 8/11/24. When I arrived that night for a birthday party with 30 friends who all had rooms there, the hotel had overbooked and had no rooms left. They tried to give me a voucher letter to stay at Circus Circus. I asked how they could sell a room that was alteady fully paid for? The receptionist said that is just they way they do it in Las Vegas and IT HAPPENS IN THEIR HOTEL ALL THE TIME. She also told me I had no other option as all of Vegas was sold out other than Circus Circus. As a side note, everyone all around me was being given the same letter to go to Circus Circus. They had done this to dozens if not hundreds of customers. Total bait and switch as well as disregard for customer feelings and convenience. Downright rude and disgusting. I have never been treated this poorly by a hotel and I stayed at over 12 hotels and vacation homes just this summer. Do not reserve this hotel. To make matters worse, I asked reception to validate my parking ticket since I was not staying there and had to leave. She said she had no way to do that and if I was there less than an hour, I would not be charged the $35 parking fee. Trouble was, between parking on the 5th floor, walking to the reception, waiting in line, then being told I did not have a room, then waiting over 13 minutes for her to come back with a letter that I should take to Circus Circus, then walking back to the car and getting out of the parking lot took more than an hour. This place is a joke. I post hundreds of reviews. All honest. Most very positive and a few not, but all very fair. This place is a crap hole and they deserve nothing more than to be leveled and replaced by another property with much better management. I was treated like I was nothing more than an old turd my dog had left in the front yard yesterday. Please fire the reservation management and get someone competent and caring about customer service. It is also clear the front desk staff is now numb to the customers because they are forced to deal with this on a regular basis. I am 54 years old and this takes the cake as the worst experience at any hotel ever and I am a regular domestic and world traveler. If I could give you negative stars I would. Disgusting service at a disgusting hotel. I would keep going but I am going to stop here so I can go leave the same review on every other travel site I can find since you don't care about respect and decency.
