Disappointed to say the least. Poor front desk customer service. Elevators are horrible (card access is difficult to work). Don't count on food/drink orders placed online/app to go through.

Strip view, 11th floor. The place is ok, smells clean, and the bed is very comfortable, but Th-Sat there was a constant barrage of thumping club music 11pm to ~3:30am. If you are partying then great, but if you want to be asleep by midnight/1am definitely do not get a strip view room. Also, I asked for body soap 3 times and nobody could deliver more than facial soap bars or body lotion. Just pay the extra little bit and stay at one of new, fancier places, it’s Vegas after all!

Room tip: Avoid strip view and floors under 20 unless you are just blacking out every night

We book our room for $31/night. By the time we left, though, without buying anything else by one day of parking, our bill was over $140. How bizarre is that? We wanted to go to the pool, but it closed at 6:00--and we had to pay the resort fee to use it. Total scam. Next time, we'll just keep on driving and skip Las Vegas, which was hot and crowded.

We stayed here from 25/05/23 - 01/06/23. This was my partners choice of hotel and after reading the reviews I was apprehensive about booking it. I went with his choice and booked it. A non smoking linq view go room.

Our check in was at night around 8:30pm, no queue at all (it was a shock to see the queues through the days we were there though extremely long) 3 members of staff on the desk were smiley and welcoming. We was asked if we wanted housekeeping to which we declined (I always travel with my own cleaning products and cloths) Checked in with no issues, given the 18th floor with the fantastic view I’d booked.

Lifts at times were hit & miss if the room card reader actually read first go. We never experienced going past our floor and if one side of the card reader didn’t work for us the other side would.

The carpets through the corridors leading to the rooms are dated and in areas need re-stretching out.

The room doors are not the best looking and have large gaps at the bottom.
The room itself was clean but in need of new carpet, drapes & shower door as it leaked a little.
The beds we’re comfortable
Showers were hot.
We had a small fridge in our room at no extra cost to us.
I did say we didn’t have housekeeping but we had fresh towels on four occasions and we gave our rubbish to the housekeeping staff. Unlike some people who left there take outs in the corridor!

The pool was our only problem! We could only use the family pool as we had our teenage child with us.
Unfortunately there wasn’t much room for the children to play or sit as most adults without children were using it. This is because they don’t want to pay to rent a bed in the adults only pool so they take up all the free beds in the family pool. Then you get feet dippers that sit around the pool edge with phones moaning that children are splashing their devices. Not to mention the adults actually in the pool with children moaning about getting splashed by other children!

If children can not use the adults only pool then the family pool must be only available to those with children.
On arrival to the pool you get your bags searched for food & drinks we never did as we never took a bag but there was lots of people moaning about having to dispose of food & drinks
The queue for the pool starts around 8:30 and you also find that people put towels on the free beds but never use them all day. On one occasion they had ran out of pool towels so we fetched a room towel down.

The grounds are clean & tidy, Starbucks is expensive in there, there are others around that are cheaper. We never ate in the restaurants so can not comment.

Obviously we didn’t use the casinos so can not comment on that either.
Although the last day my partner had a $5 on the slots and took out $30
So he was happy.

Our check out was the same as check in. Queue less and smooth with no hidden extra charges.

All in all this hotel served us well for what we wanted it for. It’s central and was comfortable.

My amazing girlfriend arranged a surprise holiday to Las Vegas and we stayed at The Flamingo- part of a package through American Airlines.
We had an amazing time and this hotel is in a perfect location on the strip.
Our room on the 5th floor was clean with very comfortable beds, great shower and very quiet
Yes, it’s big and check in was busy, we used the self service with no issues.
If you want to stay in your room / hotel then there are more modern and expensive options. But if you just want a great location and good beds/ showers etc. then this is ideal and we will use this hotel again when we come again 😊🇺🇸👍

Room tip: Don’t buy food or drinks here, it’s expensive and cheaper on the strip

What was once a great hotel is now one of the worst. Both customer service, state of the hotel, billing, etc.

Let’s start with arrival. Checkin isn’t until 3:30, which while is fairly standard, you’ll be charged $50+ to check in even 30 minutes early. Get in line to checkin at 3 as it’s going to take 30+ minutes get to the front desk or use the kiosk checkin. You will also be harassed to get one of their credit cards every time you talk to a desk person or rewards desk. They try and pretend they are giving you a status upgrade then tell you to apply for their card

Getting to your room is a pain in the butt. They recently added keycard swipes for elevator access. It’s 50/50 if your card will work with the system at all, and if the system responds to it, it’s likely to reject it. All depends on which elevator and which swipe you use. I took a great ride with about 10 other people to random floors when none of our cards would work. Front desk just shrugged.

The rooms: I know the Flamingo is the oldest operating hotel, but even the supposed renovated rooms are awful, especially for the price. My room was dirty and smelled like smoke. The curtains didn’t close completely. The bathroom was old, shower had mold in it. Even the lack of soap, shampoo, etc was a little striking. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable.

Casino: The selection of slots is pretty poor. It’s generally the same 3 games just reskinned with very few newer games. There are games for every bet level though on slots. Cocktail service was very spotty even in more prominent areas. The servers were working hard but didn’t seem there were enough.

Table games are pretty standard. Not much selection on newer games but the offering was good. Expect 15 min blackjack even at off hours, and 15+ for craps. Dealers were friendly and the tables were in decent shape.

Checkout and Billing: Checkout is easy with their new text system. You can get late checkouts, and other services through it. They charged me significantly more than they were supposed to for late checkout and other charges were double billed.

Overall: Stay somewhere else. Many of the surrounding properties offer much nicer rooms for a similar price.

Room tip: Plan to wait at checkin. Pool is loud daytime until evening.
