Razzle Dazzle crap

Las Vegas you can have it, if your prepared to spend and that is not in the casinos well go for it. The rooms were clean & tidy, the walls paper thin so you can hear all the carry ons in the next room. You have to pay for wifi which was expensive. No mini bar in the budget rooms. If one requires the room earlier than 4pm be prepared to pay a fee of $20. The only saving grace is when the rooms become cheap at different days of the month. Oh yes just after you put your bags in the room and go down stairs for a well deserved drinks ( expensive) you get hassled by reps from a time share company. We were in the habitat lobby area.

Thanks for the review on your latest visit to Flamingo. While we are glad you enjoyed yourself in general, we regret any inconvenience regarding the cost of wi-fi and lack of a minibar. We strive to give our guests fun, memorable experiences, so it is always disappointing when we fall short. We hope to see you again in the near future!

A basic three star property.
Good points
Room very clean and general areas all kept clean despite number of guests.
All staff we met were extremely helpful and welcoming.
Used hotel cafe for breakfast limited choice but edible.
Not so good
Pool area looks lovely but impossible to get a seat at 10.00hrs even on a weekday not sure what it will be like as the crowds increase. It appears lots of towels on chairs but no-one monitors if these are actually occupied.
Bag search before entering not allowed to bring in any food or drink this includes sealed water bottles and fruit.
In general just good for a very short stay.

This was our first time to stay at the Flamingo. We are Total Rewards members and have stayed at other affiliated hotels, and this was our least favorite. After a three hour flight, we arrived at the hotel and were told our room was available, however, it would cost us $20 to check in an hour early. We have stayed at other Total Rewards hotels where we arrived early and have been allowed to check in without being charged. We declined and returned at 4:00 p.m.and stood in an extremely long line to check- in again. Damon, from Hawaii, who eventually checked us in was very courteous, respectful, and helpful! We had a King "Go " room on the 22nd floor. The room was spacious, and updated. We had a nice view of the High Roller and the pools. We also had a refrigerator, and even a TV in the bathroom. However, the closet safe was awkwardly placed in the center of the closet shelf, with it's heavy door swung open, and if not careful, you would hit your head on it. Also, the bathroom had a strange, heavy sliding glass door that didn't close all the way. The carpet had stains on it. There is a large outdoor/pool area. To enter the pool, we had to wait in a long line and then go through security, similar to that at the airport. You have to show a room key and picture ID, and your bags are searched. No outside food or drink is allowed - not even water. We had to down our bottled water before entering. We had never experienced this ever before to get into a hotel swimming pool. Of course, food and beverage is sold at a hefty price once you are inside. It then took us fifteen minutes to find available lounge chairs. You are not supposed to save chairs, but that obviously was what many people had done. It is a lovely pool area, but we were so closely crammed in next to one another, we couldn't enjoy it for very long. The worst part was the slow elevators. There was always an extremely long wait. And when one did become available, people felt compelled to crowd in. The casino area was satisfactory, although it felt dark and dreary. However, there are other casinos close by. With so many hotel/casinos to choose from in Vegas, we feel there are better options than the Flamingo, and on our next visit, we will stay elsewhere.

Room tip: Get a room close to the elevators. The room halls are very long!

Thank you for sharing thoughts on your recent visit. We are tremendously disheartened to learn of the numerous shortfalls you experienced during your stay. Slow elevator service and lackluster rooms are not indicative of our firm commitment to guest service and accommodation. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience, and empathize with your frustration. We hope you will consider staying at Flamingo in the future.

Happy with the room and service, and location was great. Disappointed that the pool was closed one day for a private party. We had a drippy bathtub faucet, but we didn't bother calling about it. The hotel is older but clean and conveniently located, we could walk to about everywhere we wanted to go.

I think this hotel is ok. Not great but ok for the price you get. Thankfully we were a part of wedding and we got a discounted rate otherwise it would not have been worth it. The grounds are beautiful. However, the cosmetic updates they have made are really not done very and well and their elevators need serious maintenance. The pool was nice but very crowded.

My stay @ the Flamingo was Great! The upgraded rooms are fabulous. The buffet is a great value. $55 for 24 hrs. of eating. Depending how you time it you can have 4 meals at a variety of venues. Along with snacks in between. The location of the Flamingo is wonderful. Easy walking distance to other really nice casinos.

Room tip: My friends did not stay in an upgraded room. It was just average. They were disappointed when they saw my room
