Great hotel with a lovely pool area

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 Sept 2024via mobile
Great experience at a super hotel. Spent 4 nights here and wished it was longer.
Chose this hotel as it was away from the strip and has a great pool area where we could relax after a hectic day.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Staff very attentive.
Date of stay: August 2024
Room Tip: Free car parking in their multi storey car park. 24/7 shop across the road.

Very nice hotel just off the strip. Easily walk to the strip in 15-20mins, Uber/Lyft around £8-12 depending on time of day.
Bonus - no resort fees.
3 large towers, several pools, pool towels provided, lots of restaurants with a takeaway pizza place, coffee shops.
Small bottle of water provided in room, fridge only has mini bar items and a tray on top of cabinet with sweets and water all censored., so don't pick up if not wanting them. No kettle in room. Ice machines on all floors.
Ask for a high strip view room

Great location off the strip. The staff was incredibly friendly and the pool area was fantastic. Well kept and great restaurants. Definitely a great place to stay and will be back when we come back to Vegas. You're only 5 min from everything you need.

3 of us stayed at the Virgin for 4 nights whilst in Vegas celebrating a 40th birthday. We stayed in a double Queen room with a fabulous view of the pool area and the Strip. I was initially worried about the hotels off strip location but I need not have been. We didn’t attempt the walk as it was 40 degrees plus every day but there were plentiful taxi’s available outside the hotel everyday and uber was also always available. We never waited more than a few mins for a taxi and it took us to the strip in no more than 5 mins.

The hotel is beautiful and still has that ‘new’ feel. The rooms which they call chambers, are lovely and spacious, with a modern, cool design. There is a separate wardrobe and dressing room area that separates the bedroom and dressing room with a door, allowing privacy for a group sharing. Unlike hotels on the strip, there are no long queues for check in and the casino isn’t crowded and busy so you can relax and enjoy yourselves on the machines and roulette tables. The hotel has a number of restaurants, including a Nobu which we ate at and was delicious. We also ate at the mexican restaurant and at the Kitchen which is a 24 hour restaurant so you can always get a meal whenever you’re feeling hungry.

There are about 4 different pools with plenty of cabanas, loungers and relaxing space available, it was never really overcrowded and you could always find a lounger or cabana to sit at, a major plus in comparison to the crowed pool areas at the strip hotels.

The only slight grumble we had was about the aircon. It’s on a timer and comes on automatically even if you try to switch it off. When it’s coming on all night it could get really cold and it was frustrating that you couldn’t do anything about it. Also, like most fridges/minibars in Vegas, all the drinks and snacks are censored. If you even touch them accidentally, you will be charged. However we were warned about this at check in so we knew to stay well clear. Annoyingly it means you can’t bring your own drinks to put in the fridge as it’s full and if you take anything out you will be charged. If you want to use the fridge for your own water or drinks, they will empty it for you, but it will cost you $40! But that’s Vegas for you!

I have previously been to Vegas and stayed on the strip but now that I have stayed off strip at Virgin, I would definitely stay here over the strip if I ever return. All in all a fan hotel.

Before visiting the Virgin, I was a little apprehensive as the reviews were incredibly mixed; however, to say I was surprised was an understatement. This hotel is located about a mile off strip, which, in the summer heat, is not walkable - we did try! The price was very reasonable and we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a Ruby Tower King Chamber Suite - it was huge. Shout-out to Oscar for sorting this out for us! All of the facilities here are 5* and the pool was never busy enough so you weren't able to get a lounger. The casino was good although never busy. I firmly believe this is an underrated hotel as we stayed at the Aria for the second leg of our trip; the Virgin was so much better! We booked via Virgin Holidays and because of this, we didn't have to pay the resort fees. All in all, an amazing stay, we will be back. Thanks Virgin!

Room tip: Bag a Ruby Tower room - they are all suites.

Excellent hotel and managed to bag an upgrade.
This hotel is not on the strip and you will need to rely on the taxi service which is very good.
I wouldn’t recommend the resort taxi as they charge over the odds for a ride which is half the price.
If we are back in Las Vegas, this would be my hotel of choice, especially with children.

Room tip: Don’t take the resort taxi.. you can walk to the strip, but with temperature of 100 plus degrees, I wouldn’t.
