The Palms has quickly become our go-to Casino and Resort to play and stay at when we make trips to Vegas.
Location-wise, it is off-strip but a very quick drive if you need to head out that way for a show. There's a really nice view of the strip from Ghost Bar, too.
The rooms are relatively clean and updated. I would recommend staying in the Fantasy Tower over the Ivory Tower if available as they feel a bit "fresher" and have larger TVs. Security always checks your room key so you feel secure.
Dining options are fantastic here. Scotch 80 is an incredible steak house and a dinner favorite for us. I still hope they will bring back the scallop crudo - one of the best bites I've ever had. You can't go wrong with the bone-in filet mignon and all of the appetizers and sides are fantastic, too. Tim Ho Wan is great for dim sum, and there's also an Italian restaurant, 24 hour cafe, pizza place, and fast-casual restaurants like McDonald's and Panda Express. They also have AYCE, a buffet with lobster special on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
There are plenty of slot machines and they change up the layout and add new machines frequently. Table games are also solid with a good variety of baccarat, blackjack, pai gow, ultimate texas hold'em, craps, roulette, and more. We always have a good time, win or lose.
Shout out to our host, Erno, who always takes care of us and is just the best host ever! We wish he could be our host everywhere. We also adore Velma on the casino floor, who is super sweet and friendly. She makes sure we stays hydrated so we can continue gambling ;)
