Palms stepped up their game

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 Jun 2019via mobile
Impressed with recent updates, particularly the restaurants. Great meals at Shark, Scotch Prime and particularly at Vetri. Room was adequate, nothing fancy but the bed was comfy and the view of the mountains was a nice change from strip views elsewhere. Gym is small, cardio machines dated and was packed early with my co-East Coast-ers. Pool by Palms Place had unnecessarily loud music, but opened at 9 vs 11 at Palms pool. Food at pool bar in Palms Place was not good, brown soggy lettuce. Overall experience better than expected, won’t hesitate to book for future conventions.

We stayed here 2 years ago and absolutely loved it having a Vegas feel but not the craziness of people everywhere like the strip. And nice that every 30mins there was a free shuttle for the 5min drive to Caesars. Visited recently again to check out the renovation and wow it’s impressive! Everywhere is really cool and modern. We went to the pool which is now the nicest in Vegas and saw Marshmello. Simply awesome. Can’t wait to go back.

Lots of upgrades and makeovers have made this off strip property even better than before. Buffet is quite excellent, especially comparing the prices to the strip. Casino big, up to date, and pretty smokefree.

About $300 million into a major remodel; the rooms in the Fantasy tower are extremely comfortable and well appointed. The restaurants are among the best features - nearly every menu available for the most discriminating palate. Scotch 80 - phenomenal steaks; the Lucky Penny - reasonably priced and excellent entrees open 24 hrs; Mabel's for great bbq. All of the team members were extremely hospitable and service was outstanding and personal. Definitely a destination resort - concert venue has first class entertainment. Stay, entertain, indulge, all while walking. My new favorite venue in Las Vegas.

Room tip: Careful of the 18th floor of the Fantasy Tower, some rooms are below the Kingpin Suite, which has a two-lane bowling alley.

Actually the was one craps table open in the entire casino but it had a minimum of 100 Dollars. I visited the Palms at a midweek afternoon. I like to play craps at Station Casinos and do not any other Station Casino that has only Craps tables with a 100 Dollar minimum.

The Palms is no place for locals that like table games with a reasonable minimum.

That sayed it really looks nice after the renovation, therefore I give it 2 stars.

Do not go to the Palms if you like to play Craps. I wanted to play Craps there on a Tuesday 2 PM. There was one table open: MINIMUM 100 DOLLARS! I like to play at Station Casinos but I can simply not afford to play at 100 Dollar minimum tables. Sad to see that the Palms is only a Casino for high rollers.
