We would not recommend staying here.

This is our first time at the Palms. Arrived on 5/7/19 (today) with a three night stay booked. We were disappointed to discover that the King Executive Room was not as pictured or described, the bathroom was small, no towel racks (only 2 towels in the bathroom) and no tub (description said it had a separate tub). Left the room and sat down to play a couple of table games while we waited for the restaurants to open at 5pm and it took 40 minutes for the waitress to come over to take our drink oder. We asked the pit boss if the waitress would be coming over and he said he would call for her. After about 15 more minutes (about 30 minutes had passed now), we asked the same pit boss if the waitress was coming and he got pretty irate yelling that he already called for her and what else can he do and he can't go get her and he's already gotten complaints about this today, etc. Not very helpful or professional! After about 40 minutes the waitress finally came to our table. We decided to go to the front desk management and inform them of our initial bad experience and the front desk manager, Shelby, didn't care about the room not being as described, she told us that's the risk we take when we use other sites to book our room, like Trivago or Prestigia, and we should have booked our room through Palms.com. The manager also said she doesn't control the casino side and she'll just make a note about how the pit boss responded to us. Shelby, the manager, clearly didn't care about our initial experience and made several snide comments about what type of room we booked and we got exactly what we paid for - a standard room, and how strange we thought there was a tub, etc. REALLY BAD first impression of the Palms and how they handle and value their guests and customers. It's just our first night but so far definitely not worth staying here with so many other options off the strip. We plan to ask if we can get a refund so we can stay somewhere else for the remaining two nights!

Judging by previous reviews I was very skeptical about staying here but I had free nights from my local casino so why not. We are a mid 50's couple so we were definitely not the norm here as it is a younger crowd for sure but at no point did we feel out of place or uncomfortable. As others have stated they should open up more parking as a lot of it is reserved for Vip's. At check in the manager I believe Elaine checked us in which was at 130 and they had a room available. The better part was she told us about the night club and made sure we got room on other side of building. We got King room that was newly redone and was extremely nice and we did not hear anything from night club during the night. We went to both pools and obviously the pool with kaos club was packed and loud so we went to pool over at palms place which was small but fulfilled our needs. The casino isn't bad as they have large variety of video poker which we enjoy playing. Drink service contrary to other people's experiences was excellent all four days we were there. The buffet for breakfast was $10 and we'll worth it didn't try it for dinner. So all in all we had great time and were glad we went just be aware there are alot of younger people there but none one them were obnoxious and take precautions to stay on side away from night club.

Showed up to check in at the hotel early, my room was not ready, which was understandable. I went to the pool (there are 2 one is a CLUB, like stand in line club) the other is comparable to a Holiday Inn pool. Filled with kids, not enough chairs, bad sun exposure.

I kept checking with front desk, at 4:30 my room was still not ready, they insisted they would call me, then I checked back and they said the room was ready at close to 5 pm, (they never called) the negative is i apparently requested a king room, maybe they only have 3 of these at the hotel?

Anyway, I get to my room which is over the club pool and the noise was UNBELIEVABLE. I called and asked how long this lasts, they said they shut down at 6 and reopen at 10 pm. I was here for a work conference, not to party with my boo's.

So, I asked them to change my room (granted in an extremely agitated state, my apologies) and asked to speak to a manager. The front desk manager, Elaine, evaded my calls and avoided me in person--she was on the phone, she was at lunch, yet, i saw her chatting away with the concierge, it can't believe someone so unprofessional could be running the front desk of this resort.

Finally they changed my room, but they only had a queen available. The updated room is nice, it is much more quiet, the hotel does not have huge hallways like some hotels in Vegas, so it is a quick trip to the elevator.

So, my advice is if you are not here to party, and you want a decent pool and a decently run service area--do not stay here.

If you have to stay here, and do not want to party, request a queen room on the opposite side of the pool and maybe you will get lucky.

By the way, they also add gratuity automatically for everything, even for a party of one or 2 people. Double check your bills, maybe they are counting on drunk people not checking it. There was no price list for items in the mini bar, and/or what is included in it.

Room tip: Fantasy tower rooms are updated, quiet rooms are on the opposite side of the pool, mine was room 208 on an upper floor.

Party casino but not everyone wants to party Every night till 4am. The outside music you could literally hear in the hotel rooms across the street with the tv volume at 70. Maybe do the outdoors till 2 then take it inside, or at least not 4am outside every night, or get better

They opened their night club this weekend. If you'd like to hang out at the pool Friday Saturday or Sunday there is now a fee to enter, with Cabanas going up to $20,000 depending on the location. I stayed on the 27th floor of the newly renovated Fantasy Tower, which is the tower farthest away from the new nightclub KAOS.... the noise was unbelievable until 4 a.m. each morning Friday night Saturday night and Sunday night. When I called the front desk they were very apologetic, I think they must have got an awful lot of complaints. They offered to send some earplugs up to the room. Really? That's your solution to your $600million renovation. I liked this hotel, have stayed here, three times the first six months of the year. Unfortunately, this will obviously be my last, unless I come on weekdays only.

So after the $600 million plus renovations, i decided to give it another review.
First, the self parking area is approximately 70% reserved for VIPs. Makes self parking a horrible experience. None of the renovation money went into the parking elevators. Next, the remodel is enticing visually, however when you try to walk the floor, you can't walk through the aisles. They have stuffed so many slot machines on the floor you would think they are trying to re-coop the renovations in one week. Then you will notice the most machines appeared to be dollar machines, followed by penny and few quarter. I don't even recall a craps table. The food court and restaurants are very nice. The center bar is a Cosmopolitan knock off. The sports book is about 40%reserved for VIPs. Screens are newer but its no Westgate.
Lastly, I didn't see the rooms nor stay, but I sincerely hope a lot of that money went into them.
