Showed up to check in at the hotel early, my room was not ready, which was understandable. I went to the pool (there are 2 one is a CLUB, like stand in line club) the other is comparable to a Holiday Inn pool. Filled with kids, not enough chairs, bad sun exposure.
I kept checking with front desk, at 4:30 my room was still not ready, they insisted they would call me, then I checked back and they said the room was ready at close to 5 pm, (they never called) the negative is i apparently requested a king room, maybe they only have 3 of these at the hotel?
Anyway, I get to my room which is over the club pool and the noise was UNBELIEVABLE. I called and asked how long this lasts, they said they shut down at 6 and reopen at 10 pm. I was here for a work conference, not to party with my boo's.
So, I asked them to change my room (granted in an extremely agitated state, my apologies) and asked to speak to a manager. The front desk manager, Elaine, evaded my calls and avoided me in person--she was on the phone, she was at lunch, yet, i saw her chatting away with the concierge, it can't believe someone so unprofessional could be running the front desk of this resort.
Finally they changed my room, but they only had a queen available. The updated room is nice, it is much more quiet, the hotel does not have huge hallways like some hotels in Vegas, so it is a quick trip to the elevator.
So, my advice is if you are not here to party, and you want a decent pool and a decently run service area--do not stay here.
If you have to stay here, and do not want to party, request a queen room on the opposite side of the pool and maybe you will get lucky.
By the way, they also add gratuity automatically for everything, even for a party of one or 2 people. Double check your bills, maybe they are counting on drunk people not checking it. There was no price list for items in the mini bar, and/or what is included in it.

Party casino but not everyone wants to party Every night till 4am. The outside music you could literally hear in the hotel rooms across the street with the tv volume at 70. Maybe do the outdoors till 2 then take it inside, or at least not 4am outside every night, or get better

They opened their night club this weekend. If you'd like to hang out at the pool Friday Saturday or Sunday there is now a fee to enter, with Cabanas going up to $20,000 depending on the location. I stayed on the 27th floor of the newly renovated Fantasy Tower, which is the tower farthest away from the new nightclub KAOS.... the noise was unbelievable until 4 a.m. each morning Friday night Saturday night and Sunday night. When I called the front desk they were very apologetic, I think they must have got an awful lot of complaints. They offered to send some earplugs up to the room. Really? That's your solution to your $600million renovation. I liked this hotel, have stayed here, three times the first six months of the year. Unfortunately, this will obviously be my last, unless I come on weekdays only.

So after the $600 million plus renovations, i decided to give it another review. First, the self parking area is approximately 70% reserved for VIPs. Makes self parking a horrible experience. None of the renovation money went into the parking elevators. Next, the remodel is enticing visually, however when you try to walk the floor, you can't walk through the aisles. They have stuffed so many slot machines on the floor you would think they are trying to re-coop the renovations in one week. Then you will notice the most machines appeared to be dollar machines, followed by penny and few quarter. I don't even recall a craps table. The food court and restaurants are very nice. The center bar is a Cosmopolitan knock off. The sports book is about 40%reserved for VIPs. Screens are newer but its no Westgate. Lastly, I didn't see the rooms nor stay, but I sincerely hope a lot of that money went into them.

We stayed with a conference that was being hosted at the Palms Casino and the check in was quick as were the people that brought our luggage to the room. We had a problem with our AC not turning on and the water in the new bathroom dripped all night long.
My wife tried to go to the pool and they gave her flack about not fitting in with the crowd.
Convention space was pretty good and there were great views of Vegas. Our room was Smokey and we requested non smoking. The resort fees were astronomical, and don't expect good Wi-Fi unless pay handsomely.
There are plenty of good restaurants that serve a great meal.

This place is really beautiful and the gambling is only so so but for only a $100 deposit a night and a $30 resort feet it's really nice when they give you free rooms, supposedly they have to pools now but the only time I've been to one they charge $30 a drink so drink for free on the slots 1st which is really dumb advice because it takes over an hour to get a drink lady. But the place is pretty and if you get a free Room I recommend it if you have to pay I don't recommend it.
